We already had pyflakes injected in the team repository[1]; what I did
is integrate the Varun's debdiff into such repository, adopting for
the team (adding we three as uploaders) and few other changes. If
Tristan has no objections, wa can upload this version, waiting for new
upstream release.

python-central 0.6 fixes bug #452227, removing an empty directory
usr/lib. Your package tries to remove that directory as well, not
ignoring the error code. Please either ignore the error code, or
remove the directory removal and build-depend on python-central (>= 0.6)

Package: pyflakes
Version: 0.2.1+svn14502-1
Severity: important

PyFlakes prints warnings twice as illustrated by this simple test case:

  % echo 'print not_defiled' | pyflakes
  :1: undefined name 'not_defiled'
  :1: undefined name 'not_defiled'

I looked at the source package and found that some of the patches
applied are wrong. The set_exit_status.diff patch is the worst since it
prints the warnings twice using this code:

   w = checker.Checker(tree, filename)
   w.messages.sort(lambda a, b: cmp(a.lineno, b.lineno))
   for warning in w.messages:
   print warning
  +if status == 0:
  +status = 1
  +for warning in w.messages:
  +print warning
   return len(w.messages)

The nested for-loop is the problem. It would be clearer if the status
variable was simply set like this:

   w = checker.Checker(tree, filename)
   w.messages.sort(lambda a, b: cmp(a.lineno, b.lineno))
   for warning in w.messages:
   print warning
  +if status == 0 and len(w.messages) > 0:
  +status = 1
   return len(w.messages)

The patch pyflakes_unicode.diff is wrong and does almost the same as
check_encoding_errors.diff. I think pyflakes_unicode.diff should simply
be dropped.

Hm, it fails with 5.8.8 too, so it would seem to be the same issue as

I guess this error was triggered because you don't use a POSIX compliant
syntax in your debian/scripts/. On this buildd, /bin/sh is linked to
/bin/dash, so bash specific syntax is not understood.

Cheers,

Package: clanlib
Version: 0.6.5-1-4
Usertags: ftbfs-gcc-4.3

Your package fails to build with GCC 4.3. Version 4.3 has not been
released yet but I'm building with a snapshot in order to find errors
and give people an advance warning. In GCC 4.3, the C++ header
dependencies have been cleaned up. The advantage of this is that
programs will compile faster. The downside is that you actually
need to directly #include everything you use (but you really should
do this anyway, otherwise your program won't work with any compiler
other than GCC). There's some more information about this at
http://www.cyrius.com/journal/2007/05/10#gcc-4.3-include

You can reproduce this problem with gcc-snapshot from unstable. Note
that Red Hat, Novell and Ubuntu have done some work getting packages
to build with GCC 4.3 so there might be patches floating around
somewhere. I suggest you talk to your upstream.

Package: clanlib
Severity: wishlist

Clanlib version 0.7.2 has been released two months ago. I have a package
race which currently isn't installable and needs a recent clanlib in
order to compile properly. Could you package the new version or is there
a problem preventing you from doing that?

Changes:
 clanlib (0.8.1-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   [ Sam Hocevar ]
   * New upstream release (Closes: #188449, #299524, #383972).
 + Clanlib no longer ships lua. (Closes: #467577, #467578).
   + Removed all lua build-deps and deps.
   * Set maintainer to the Games team (Closes: #414533).
   * Use quilt for patch management.
   * debian/control:
 + Merged clanlib-examples into clanlib-doc.
 + Got rid of all libclanlib* modules. Now we only have libclanapp-0.8-1
   and libclansdl-0.8-1. There is no longer an fbdev output (but it can
   be activated through SDL), hence fbdev bugs are no longer relevant
   (Closes: #60031).
   * debian/scripts:
 + Got rid of the cruft in there, quilt does everything far better. We get
   rid of the bashisms at the same time (Closes: #372272).
   * debian/compat:
 + Set compat to 5.
   * debian/copyright:
 + Added list of copyright holders and fixed license.
   * debian/patches/005_am_maintainer_mode.diff:
 + Set AM_MAINTAINER_MODE.
   * debian/patches/300_rebootstrap.diff:
 + Rebootstrap package.

   * Add watch file.
   * Add Homepage fie
