flyspray REMOVED from testing

2007-06-18 Thread Debian testing watch
FYI: The status of the flyspray source package
in Debian's testing distribution has changed.

  Previous version: 0.9.8-10.1
  Current version:  (not in testing)
  Hint: (no removal hint found)

The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal
reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments
were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the
reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is
probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the
actual hints file before you complain about meaningless removals.

[ITR] templates://myphpmoney/{templates}

2007-06-18 Thread Christian Perrier
Dear Debian maintainer,

The Debian internationalisation team and the Debian English
localisation team will soon begin the review of the debconf
templates used in myphpmoney.

This review takes place for all packages that use debconf to interact with
users and its aims are:
- to improve the use of English in all debconf templates;
- to make the wording of debconf templates more consistent;
- to encourage more translations of templates.

Even if your first language is English, this process is likely to help
track down typos or errors, and improve consistency between the
debconf templates of your package and that of other packages in the
distribution.

The process involves both debian-l10n-english contributors and
Debian translators.

The details of the process are given in
http://wiki.debian.org/I18n/SmithDebconfReviewProcess.

I will act as the coordinator of this activity for myphpmoney.

The first step of the process is to review the debconf source
template file(s) of myphpmoney. This review will start on Monday, June 18,
2007, or
as soon as you acknowledge this mail with an agreement for us to
carry out this process.

All parts of the process will be carried out in close collaboration
with you, and, unless you explicitely ask for it, no upload nor NMU
will happen for myphpmoney.

If you approve this process, please let us know by replying to this
mail. If some work in progress on your side would conflict with such a
rewrite (such as adding or removing debconf templates), please say so,
and we will defer the review to later in the development cycle.

Thank you for your attention.

Bug#424791: Let's remove ibwebadmin

2007-06-18 Thread Thijs Kinkhorst
Hi all,

I propose to remove ibwebadmin for the following reasons:

* Last maintainer upload Sep 2004;
* Orphaned since Jul 2005 with no interest in taking over;
* New upstream versions available since 2005 with no recorded requests to
  update the package;
* Has a release critical bug (affected by PHP4 removal) with no action
  since a month.

The fact that the package uses yada might also be a reason to some.

netdude override disparity

2007-06-18 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

netdude_0.3.3-3_powerpc.deb: package says section is net, override says x11.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you replied to one
like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore
this mail. Your reply needs to be processed by a human and will be in
due course, but until then the installer will send these automated

I'm not sure if this change affects them, but it probably does since
this changes between dynamic and static linking.

Scheduled.

Are there other libraries that need to be rebuilt in response to this
kpathsea change?

/usr/share/doc/libunicode-dev is a symlink to /usr/share/doc/libunicode0
(as permitted in Policy 12.3). I think it's impractical for "dpkg -L"
and/or "dlocate -L" to follow symlinks; if you disagree, feel free to
reassign.

Thanks,

This is not a change between dynamic and static linking. The only
reverse-dependencies that will be affected by this change are packages which
build shared libraries or DSO plugins using libtool and ship the resulting
.la files in the packages.

So:

$ for F in `grep-dctrl -FDepends -n -sFilename libkpathsea4 \
/var/lib/apt/lists/_mirror*_sid_*_Packages`
do
dpkg -c /mirror/$F | grep -q '\.la$' && echo $F
done

No other packages seem to be affected.

But I don't know why vflib3 needed rebuilt either, it doesn't seem to
contain any .la files?

Cheers,

Bug#429599: gv: cannot zoom more than 10x

2007-06-18 Thread Ron
Package: gv
Version: 1:3.6.2-4
Severity: wishlist

I have a large PS file, about 10m^2 big when zoomed to a level for appropriate
viewing, I guess, but I can only zoom 10 times, so I cannot see the image now.
The logical solution would be to remove the GUI limitation of zooming only 10x.
I know there is a command line option, but when I view my file in the following
way:
$ gv -scale 1 myfile.hs

, all I get is a white screen. This is not equal to just doing gv myfile.hs,
which is odd to say the least. The latter can be interpreted as a bug.
