Bug#406815: jedstate: jed doesn't read scripts inside /etc/jed-init.d/
package jedstate severity 406815 serious thanks * Martin Reising <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [2007-01-14 11:21]: > Package: jedstate > Version: 0.5.4-6 > Severity: important > > Since 0.99.18-2 jed uses startup script inside /etc/jed.d/ instead of > /etc/jed-init.d/. So 99jedstate_hook.sl should be moved into > /etc/jed.d/ and /etc/jed-init.d/ should be removed if empty. I am raising the severity of this bug report to serious, such that the bug will become RC and we have a chance of getting it fixed in etch. The funcionalities of the jedstate package have been superseded by the gdbmrecent module included in the jed-extra package. Besides that, the jedstate package has been orphaned half a year ago and there is no sign of upstream activity since ages. Instead of simply requesting the removal of jedstate from the Debian distribution, the Debian JED Group [1] will adopt the package and transform it into a transition package to allow users migrate from jedstate to gdbmrecent. -- Rafael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". When this happens the wallpaper is changed so rapidly, that it is impossible to change the setting back again, as the notification area icon is not available for selecting in time. The workaround is to install gconf-editor, and reset the value to 1 or greater. Either the program should reject low values or apply more priority to allowing user interaction. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15.2 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages wallpaper-tray depends on: ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libatk1.0-0 1.11.4-2 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libaudiofile0 0.2.6-6Open-source version of SGI's audio ii libbonobo2-0 2.14.0-1 Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libbonoboui2-02.14.0-2 The Bonobo UI library ii libc6 2.3.6-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libesd0 0.2.36-3 Enlightened Sound Daemon - Shared ii libgconf2-4 2.14.0-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii libgcrypt11 1.2.2-1LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libglade2-0 1:2.5.1-2 library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.10.3-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome-keyring0 0.4.9-1GNOME keyring services library ii libgnome2-0 2.14.1-2 The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomecanvas2-0 2.14.0-2 A powerful object-oriented display ii libgnomeui-0 2.14.1-1 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgnomevfs2-02.14.2-1 GNOME virtual file-system (runtime ii libgnutls11 1.0.16-14+b1 GNU TLS library - runtime library ii libgpg-error0 1.2-1 library for common error values an ii libgtk2.0-0 2.8.18-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 1:1.0.0-3 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libjpeg62 6b-13 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii liborbit2 1:2.14.0-1.1 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpango1.0-0 1.12.3-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpopt0 1.10-2 lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libsm61:1.0.0-4 X11 Session Management library ii libtasn1-21:0.2.17-2 Manage ASN.1 structures (runtime) ii libx11-6 2:1.0.0-6 X11 client-side library ii libxml2 2.6.24.dfsg-1 GNOME XML library ii xlibs 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6 X Window System client libraries m ii zlib1g1:1.2.3-11 compression library - runtime wallpaper-tray recommends no packages. -- no debconf information --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: wallpaper-tray Source-Version: 0.4.6-5 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of wallpaper-tray, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: wallpaper-tray_0.4.6-5.diff.gz to pool/main/w/wallpaper-tray/wallpaper-tray_0.4.6-5.diff.gz wallpaper-tray_0.4.6-5.dsc to pool/main/w/wallpaper-tray/wallpaper-tray_0.4.6-5.dsc wallpaper-tray_0.4.6-5_i386.deb to pool/main/w/wallpaper-tray/wallpaper-tray_0.4.6-5_i386.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
