vflib2 override disparity

2006-08-03 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

vflib2-dev_2.25.1-19_i386.deb: package says section is oldlibs, override says
libdevel.
vflib2-misc_2.25.1-19_i386.deb: package says section is utils, override says
libs.
vflib2_2.25.1-19_i386.deb: package says section is oldlibs, override says libs.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why.

like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore

vflib2 and vflib2-dev have been superseded by vflib3; please move them
to oldlibs.

vflib2-misc contains miscellanious command-line tools; please move it
to utils.

Package: f-prot-installer

Severity: normal

*** Please type your report below this line ***

Hello,

I have installed f-prot in an i386 chroot environment on an AMD64 computer
with amd64 kernel, as described in
https://alioth.debian.org/docman/view.php/30192/21/debian-amd64-howto.html#id271960

When started, f-prot consumes all available cpu time
and don't terminate (it seems to have entered an endless loop).
This even hapens with
f-prot -help

I found out, that the binary executable
/usr/lib/f-prot/f-prot
runs fine. So I believe, that the bug is located in the scripts
which should start the f-prot binary.

Greetings
  Juergen Kosel

Hi,

the very same bug is reported in ubuntu, see [1]. The reporter says, that the
issue is fixed with upstream's 3.2.0b6, so I closed the bug in ubuntu.

Package: htdig
Version: 1:3.1.6-11
Severity: normal

Running the AMD64 arch of htdig turns existing
databases into mulch, generating errors like:

BAD TAG IN SERIALIZED DATA: 177

Besides corrupting databases when writing to them,
htsearch can't successfully read a i386 generated
database. Fortunately, the i386 arch htdig can run
on Debian AMD64 with some involved cajoling, and
it works ok.

I don't think this one is going to get fixed upstream,
so just be warned.
