Bug#251768: pbuilder duplicates bug

2004-08-27 Thread Thomas Bushnell BSG
Blars Blarson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes:

> My reopens of this bug are based on pbuilder builds on sparc. You can

Nope. I tried pbuilder on ppc, and it works fine. The problem,
again, is the handling of dependencies (as mentioned on debian-devel
and reported to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED]). On those
archs, dependencies are not being downloaded, and therefore the build
fails.

On s390, libx11-dev is installed, but not its dependency libx11-6.

On sparc, xlibs-dev is installed, but not its dependency libx11-dev.

Bug#268342: raidtools are started after checkfs is run

2004-08-27 Thread Matthias Klose
Package: raidtools2
Version: 1.00.3-12
Severity: grave

S30checkfs.sh is run before S30raidtools2, meaning that checkfs is
unable to find the superblock of filesystems on at least striped
devices. Fix that to S29raidtools2.

[I didn't check the raidtools package, if the error can be seen there
as well]

Bug#268496: 3dwm-server: Incorrect use of "it's" in package description

2004-08-27 Thread Kevin B. McCarty
Package: 3dwm-server
Version: 0.3.1-11.3
Severity: minor

Hello,

The package 3dwm-server uses the contraction "it's" in the
Description field of its control file in what appears to be an
incorrect way. Recall that "it's" is a contraction for "it is" or
"it has", and any other use (for instance, as a possessive) is not
grammatically correct English. Hypothetical examples:

- XMMS is cool. It's one of the best ... [correct, "It is"]
- XMMS is cool. It's been rated highly ... [correct, "It has"]
- XMMS is cool. It's features include ... [wrong]
- XMMS is cool. Its features include ... [correct, possessive]

Using "it's" and "its" correctly is in your best interest, since
incorrect usage may cause someone browsing the package descriptions to
have a bad first impression of that package.

Please note that this is a mass bug filing; it was discussed on
debian-devel in the thread starting here:
