Package: xitalk
Version: N/A; reported 2002-07-03
Severity: important

If you have 3 people logged in, and you click on the 3rd person, xitalk
quits. The 4th person, 1st 2nd all work fine - it's always the 3rd
person that causes it to crash.

I ran a debugger on the second process (the child) xitalk creates and the
process quits with a segmentaion fault in XtAppMainLoop, the parent program
just quits without saying anything.

I don't know how to debug XtAppMainLoop since it seems to be in a
library. This could be a bug in the library I suppose. I am running
woody - version 4.1.0-16 of libxaw.

The library /usr/lib/libguileopts.so.0.0.1 contains the following
undefined symbols:
undefined symbol: snv_sprintf (/usr/lib/libguileopts.so.0.0.1)
undefined symbol: gh_eval_str (/usr/lib/libguileopts.so.0.0.1)

This is probably caused by its not being linked against the full list of
libraries it depends on.

These undefined non-weak symbols should not occur in a shared library
unless the program using the library will provide them itself (which
is not the normal case). The presence of these undefined non-weak
symbols also prevents prelink from working optimally.

Thanks,
Robin.

please remove ia64 lush binary package

2004-08-22 Thread Thomas Bushnell BSG

Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: important

Please remove the ia64 lush and lush-library binary packages. The
latest upload omits (intentionally) ia64 from the Architecture line.
Lush does not work on ia64, and it is only accidental that past builds
worked.

The old binary packages for ia64 are blocking inclusion of lush into
testing.
