Bug#231559: more on wn/update-menus problem
severity 231559 serious thanks mate (since it fails to configure or uninstall - both postinst and postrm are broken.) It's calling update-menus with a "-f" option, which according to the manpage doesn't exist. I'm not sure what the maintainer intended it to do so I'm not sure what the consequences are of just removing it. Ben.

Bug#236164: atftpd: Malformed ERR packet
Package: atftpd Severity: normal Hi, while sniffing packets with Ethereal I noticed that ERR packets sent by atftp and atftpd are malformed. They are missing the final ASCII 0 which is required by RFC 1350. The problem is around line 168 of tftp_io.c. it should copy an additional 0 byte and make the packet size one larger. this: Regards, hjb -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.24 Locale: LANG=de_DE, LC_CTYPE=de_DE
Bug#236165: lots of output on/moving transparent gnome-terminal is slow
Package: gnome-terminal Version: 2.4.2-6 Severity: normal When gnome-terminal has a transparent background and there's an image in the background (I run xplanet on the root window), then moving the window around is very slow. Letting my window manager slide the gnome-terminal window smoothly (with fvwm's AnimatedMove command) from one side of the desktop to the other takes several seconds, badly affecting overall system performance while doing so. The same behavior occurs when there's a program running inside of gnome-terminal that generates lots of output very fast. This behavior only occurs after running gnome-terminal for several minutes. Setting the background to a solid color, and then back to transparent sometimes solves the problem for several more minutes, but sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the problem goes away by itself, but sooner or later it comes back again. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.25-thomer Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 Versions of packages gnome-terminal depends on: ii gnome-control-center 1:2.4.0-5 The GNOME Control Center for GNOME ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.16-1 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libatk1.0-0 1.4.1-1The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libaudiofile0 0.2.3-4The Audiofile Library ii libbonobo2-0 2.4.3-1Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libbonoboui2-02.4.3-2The Bonobo UI library ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libesd0 0.2.29-1 Enlightened Sound Daemon - Shared ii libfontconfig12.2.1-16 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.1.7-2FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgconf2-4 2.4.0.1-4 GNOME configuration database syste ii libgcrypt11.1.12-4 LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libglade2-0 2.0.1-6Library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.2.3-1The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome2-0 2.4.0-4The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomecanvas2-0 2.4.0-1A powerful object-oriented display ii libgnomeui-0 2.4.0.1-6 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgnomevfs2-02.4.1-4.1 The GNOME virtual file-system libr ii libgnomevfs2-common 2.4.1-4.1 The GNOME virtual file-system libr ii libgnutls70.8.12-5 GNU TLS library - runtime library ii libgtk2.0-0 2.2.4-3The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 4.3.0-3Inter-Client Exchange library ii libjpeg62 6b-9 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libncurses5 5.3.20030719-5 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii liborbit2 1:2.8.3-2 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpango1.0-0 1.2.5-2.1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpopt0 1.7-4 lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libsm64.3.0-3X Window System Session Management ii libstartup-notification0 0.5-4 library for program launch feedbac ii libtasn1-00.1.2-1Manage ASN.1 structures (runtime) ii libvte4 1:0.11.10-4Terminal emulator widget for GTK+ ii libx11-6 4.3.0-3X Window System protocol client li ii libxft2 2.1.2-5FreeType-based font drawing librar ii libxml2 2.6.6-1GNOME XML library ii libxrender1 0.8.3-5X Rendering Extension client libra ii scrollkeeper 0.3.14-5 A free electronic cataloging syste ii xlibs 4.3.0-3X Window System client libraries m ii zlib1g1:1.2.1-4 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information
