Package: jde
Version: 2.3.2-3
Severity: normal

Please do not gzip jde-ug-toc.txt.

The html user guide is in /usr/share/doc/jde/html/jde-ug/jde-ug.html, which is
a frameset containing /usr/share/doc/jde/html/jde-ug/jde-ug-toc.html, which
calls an applet, which wants to load .

But this is gzipped:
% dpkg -L jde
...
/usr/share/doc/jde/tli_rbl/txt/jde-ug-toc.txt.gz
...

so ./txt/jde-ug-toc.txt isn't available to the applet, so the table of
contents is not shown.

Fix: gunzip jde-ug-toc.txt.gz

Thank you!

I'm trying to install the 'jde' package. Initially I tried using the
version from stable but found problems there, so I tried the version
from unstable instead (I'd already switch to the xemacs21 from
unstable for basically the same reason), and still got errors.

The output from the configure stage is:

emacs-package-install: /usr/lib/emacsen-common/packages/install/jde xemacs21
emacs21 xemacs21 failed at /usr/lib/emacsen-common/emacs-package-install line
30, line 5.

In the xemacs21 compile.log I have a couple of more detailed error
messages:

Hello!

After (require 'jde) the ElDoc minor mode is not loaded. This mode is
neccessary for displaying helpful messages in the minibuffer (e.g.,
method signatures). I recommend to start it automatically in the

Bug#233860: speedbar-beta: Missing depends on xemacs21-basesupport

2004-02-20 Thread konqueror
Package: speedbar-beta
Version: 0.13+0.14beta4-6
Severity: normal

speedbar-beta does not configure with xemacs21-basesupport from current
testing (2003.01.27-1.1), but it works with the version from current
unstable (2004.02.02-1). I know it depends on xemacs21-nomule but this
depends only on a very old xemacs21-basesupport package as minimum.

This would allow users with X4.x.x to remove xlib6g, it's a basically
empty package for us anyway.
