Bug#208534: multi-gnome-terminal: Transparent background doesn't get updated

2003-09-03 Thread Guido Trotter
Package: multi-gnome-terminal
Version: 1.6.2-2
Severity: minor

Hi, I'm using multi-gnome-terminal with transparent background, and xplanet
drawing every some seconds in the root window (with -transparency option
set to make the whole thing actually work).

In other applications, like xchat, this has no problem: the image changes when
it's updated in the background.

With mgt instead the terminal stiks to the first image it has seen, and the
only way to refresh it is manually disabling and re-enabling transparency).

Thanks,

Guido

Bug#192490: kdebindings-3.1.3 heading for sid

2003-09-03 Thread Riku Voipio
Hi,

I have a pretty much functioning kdebindings 3.1.3 ready for
sid upload, see the attached changelog for details.
there a few questions still remaining:

1) maintainer is currently [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I assume I should either NMU it or adopt it? If I adopt it,
should I use my name for maintainer or [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Since for long time kdebindings has lacked loving, I assume
that no-one else is intrested in maintaining kdebindings,
the current control has me as maintainer.

2) qt 3.2

Lots of stuff has to be regenerated from qt 3.2 headers to work,
And I'm not 100% sure I generated everything right. Any knowledge
what's the upstream plan on this? All qt-3.2 changes I see are in
HEAD, not 3_1 branches.. Also, while the example apps seem to work[1]
It's probably more safe to build against kdelibs that are built
against qt 3.2 as well?

[1] with the exception of kmozilla, which doesn't compile - maybe
some updates are needed to make it compile with mozilla 1.4?

 .
   * New Maintainer
   * New upstream version for kde3, closes: #192490
   * Java support added, closes: #111756
   * A (bit) more nicer descriptions: closes: #104540, #128608, #128609
   * updated build-depends to match sid
   * new patch auto-foo-update.diff
make automake search for libgcj.so instead of libjvm.so and libhpi.so
   * new patch dcopperlfixes.diff
reorder dcopperl headers
   * new patch dcoppythonfixes.diff
workaround more strict gcc
   * new patch gcj-barf-killer.diff
gcj complains of illegal chars in comments - which apparently isn't
true, but we wouldn't want to rely on a propierty javac.
   * new patch gcc-3.3-barfs-on-KAutoMount.diff
removes KAutoMount from compiled files temporarily
   * Thank for Ralf Nolden and Karolina Lindqvist for their previous unnoficial
 work!
   * Co-Maintainers welcome, especially if you use the kdejava-stuff

Bug#208619: php-gtk: uninstallable in sid due to ABI transition

2003-09-03 Thread Steve Langasek
Package: php-gtk
Version: 0.5.1-12
Severity: grave
Tags: sid

The most recent version of php4 breaks ABI compatibility with extensions
compiled against earlier versions. Instead of providing the
zendapi-20020429 virtual package, PHP4 SAPI packages now provide
phpapi-20020918. Examples for debian/rules can be found in current
php4-pgsql or php-imlib source packages.
