libgtop override disparity
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the override file for the following file(s): libgtop-daemon_1.0.13-7.2_i386.deb: package says section is utils, override says admin. Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why. -- Debian distribution maintenance software (This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing [EMAIL PROTECTED])

At least version (1.4.2-7) and higher correctly supports them. You need to update all of the libtool related files by running the following on your source tree: autoreconf --force You may need to use the --install option as well. You can also try the individual commands needed yourself: libtoolize --force --copy aclocal autoheader automake -a autoconf autoheader may not be needed, and you may need to use versioned binaries (autoconf2.13, automake-1.{4,5,6,7}, aclocal-1.{4,5,6,7}, etc) The correct 'configure' script will have output that looks like this: # This must be Linux ELF. linux-gnu*) case $host_cpu in alpha* | hppa* | i*86 | mips | mipsel | powerpc* | sparc* | ia64* ) lt_cv_deplibs_check_method=pass_all ;; *) It is important that both mips and mipsel are listed in the configure script here. Older versions of libtool used a file_magic check for the pattern file_magic ELF [0-9][0-9]*-bit [LM]SB (shared object|dynamic lib ) The output of file(1) on a shared library on MIPS does not match this regular expression, however. Earlier versions of file had been modified to match this regular expression, but the latest version uses the same output as upstream once again. The file check often causes problems, and results on a build-dep on file that you might not otherwise be aware of. The new method doesn't need file(1) at all, and is far less fragile, so it is best to upgrade the configure script with proper mips support. --- Received: (at 183979-close) by bugs.debian.org; 3 Sep 2003 00:53:14 + >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Sep 02 19:53:14 2003 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from auric.debian.org [206.246.226.45] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 19uLta-0001Pg-00; Tue, 02 Sep 2003 19:53:14 -0500 Received: from katie by auric.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 19uLp3-0005cb-00; Tue, 02 Sep 2003 20:48:33 -0400 From: Sebastien Bacher <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.35 $ Subject: Bug#183979: fixed in libgtop 1.0.13-7.2 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Tue, 02 Sep 2003 20:48:33 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Source: libgtop Source-Version: 1.0.13-7.2 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of libgtop, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: libgtop-daemon_1.0.13-7.2_i386.deb to pool/main/libg/libgtop/libgtop-daemon_1.0.13-7.2_i386.deb libgtop-dev_1.0.13-7.2_i386.deb to pool/main/libg/libgtop/libgtop-dev_1.0.13-7.2_i386
