deps

2002-07-23 Thread Michele Mazzucchi
Hi

Installing vchkpw debian package, i noted that it depends on ucspi-tcp-src.
Can you maybe set dep on "ucspi-tcp-src | ucspi-tcp"?
People could have installed && built ucspi-tcp and removed sources...

bye

vchkpw override disparity

2002-07-23 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

vchkpw_3.1.2-10_i386.deb: priority is overridden from optional to extra.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you replied to one
like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore
this mail. Your reply needs to be processed by a human and will be in
due course, but until then the installer will send these automated
mails; sorry.]

Package: vchkpw
Version: N/A; reported 2002-04-29
Severity: normal

In bugreport #63351, it was asked a change in dependacy due to people
installing qmail-src. Doing it so, you're told not to recompile it again
if you're going to use it on another system (use instead the just-compiled
binary one). The problem is that vchkpw now depends only on the *-src ones,
so I'm required to install *-src again on the other system (a server without
gcc, so the dependacy problem keeps on growing).

In short, should the package depends be something like below?
"Depends: qmail-src, ucspi-tcp-src | ucspi-tcp, ..."
(adding version dependacy (>= x.y.z) as required)

cu, Antonio

Bug#154065: kde: menus have "blank paper" icon

2002-07-23 Thread Rob Walker
Package: kde
Version: 4:2.2.25
Severity: wishlist

Some kde menus have a "blank paper" icon, and some have no icon at all.
Having a blank paper icon next to "fortune", "python", "tkwish", and
other terminal applications looks tacky. These menu items would look
better with no icon at all next to them, such as "Openoffice.org
Writer".

I tried to fix this with kmenuedit, but there didn't seem to be a way to
remove the icon from the menu entry. Are transparent or one-pixel ixons
(which would look almost like they aren't there) an option?
