Bug#66190: treetool: Treetool causes arithmetic exception/file open on alpha
Hello ! Adding -mieee as compile flag on alpha cures *this* problem. Of course this causes a performance hit but this application does not seem to performance hungry anyway. If this application is ever worked on again, the sloppy arithmetic handling should be fixed though. So I'd suggest closing this bug with this "fix". Helge -- Helge Kreutzmann, Dipl.-Phys.
Schöne Grüße aus Salzburg Paula -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

We did not modify the code - we just had some diff files containing patchzes to make it work for Debian GNU/Linux (which perhaps let the code work at all). We always ship with the original code in our archive of sources. > I've always liked this program (although big chunks of the code > stink) and I long to re-write it for Linux and PC, but I'm not sure > it's worthwhile given the problems with permissions/ownership and > small number of users. Perhaps putting the project to Savannah or SourceForge could make some fortune. > If you have the ability to modify the code for your platform, I would > go ahead and do so. As I said, we do just patches in a diff file but we like to foreward our changes upstream - if tehre is any upstream :-(. The only thing I can offer, is testing the bugfixed or presumably bugfixed treetool on my alpha with some phylogenetic trees of mine and tell you where it still crashes or behaves weird. I'll provide a patch (hopefully) this weekend and it would be great if you can test the patched version then. Thanks. Helge -- Helge Kreutzmann, Dipl.-Phys. PLEASE HELP ME
Greetings (Assalamuailekum) It is with heartfelt hope that I write to seek your co-operation and assistance in the context stated below: May I first introduce my self as Mrs. Mariam Abacha, the wife of Late General Sani Abacha (former military head of state and president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria) who died suddenly on 8th June 1998. Having noted the confidence reposed on your person, I became convinced of your capability and goodwill to assist me in receiving the sum of US$19 Million secretly coded in 3 different sized suitcases. As it is equally required, the administration of my late husband's property is under the authority of his lawyer (DR. MUSA IBRAHIM) however, the current civilian administration of retired General Olusegun Obasanjo (the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria) is seeking vengeance on the Abacha family because of the life prison jail sentence confirmed on him by my late husband. In pursuit of this vendetta, the present government have resolved to freeze all known assets of General Sani Abacha, including properties at home and abroad and are presently embarking on to seize the various bank accounts of my husband. In fact, the attack on our family (The Abacha's) is so devastated to an extent of seizing our travelling passport, family accounts and even trying some members of our family in court for offences allegedly committed by my late husband. In view of this grivious threat to our Economic and personal survival, our family trustee have secretly deposited with Security and Trust Company in 3 different size suitcases, but seriously advised me to move $19 Million US Dollars into an overseas account, hence the reason why I have chosen you and hope that you will come to my full assistance and unlimited co-operation. This money US$19 Million Dollars will be secretly transfered through a deplomatic security arrangement, all we need is your coporation to receive this money into your account. This money has been coded for security reason. In the meantime, there is a travelling embargo on us the whole family members) and our local accounts are seized. We are currently living on goodwill of people who believe we cannot be held responsible for the sins of my late husband. In view of this plight, I expect you to be trustworthy and kind enough to respond to this distressed letter to save me and my children from a hopeless future. And if have agreed to compensate you sincerely and your candid effort in this regard with 25% of the total amount of $19 Million US Dollars. In that case, when the money ($19 Million) is moved into your discrete account, you will be allowed to draw 25% in your favour, while the remaining 75% will be invested meaningfully for my children's future. Our lawyer (DR.MUSA IBRAHIM) has perfected arrangements with a Security and Trust Company concerned and has assured 100% risk free and safe operation. I look forward to your quick response while thanking you for your co-operation. In view of all above details, I request you to keep this letter and operation highly confidential. Best wishes, MRS. MARIAM ABACHA. (MON) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
SVGALIB 1.9.x
Hello. The debian website says that the QA Group is the maintainer of the SVGALIB packages. So that's why I'm mailing here. I'm sorry if that's wrong of me. I need to install SVGALIB 1.9.11 (or newer) on my debian box, since I need to install software which requires it. I tried to compile it myself but I couldn't get it right. Are there any unofficial packages anywhere? I tried to do a search, but I found nothing. I would very much appreciate any help or suggestion on this. Thank you /M __ Do You Yahoo!?
