Status of serpento (Was: Status of your packages)
Hi, I found this mail when cleaning my mailbox. It's about 1,5 years old but only one NMU since this time. The package gathered some new bugs without any response from the maintainer. I'd regard this package as orphaned. Kind regards Andreas. I'd vote for it but my question was ignored. I am working on a new serpento release, that will solve all the issues. Of course, real life interfers with my intentions more than I would like, but hopefully a new package will be out soon. Though it looks like the status of some of them are not improved at all. It looks like you're not really interested anymore in these latter packages. As the status of the packages seem to correlate with the maintainer's email address we as MIA Team want to propose that you move all the packages you still want to maintain away from your [EMAIL PROTECTED] address in one month. So we could take care of orphaning the packages that remain with your melkor address in one month from now on. What do you think? Well, I am slowly migrating my packages to my new e-mail address, leaving behind those that I am less interested in, so obviously those left are already in a bad shape... so I think you can go ahead, although, time permitting, I think I will do some fixes and uploads orphaning the packages by myself. -- --- | Radovan Garabík http://kassiopeia.juls.savba.sk/~garabik/ | | __..--^^^--..__garabik @ kassiopeia.juls.savba.sk | --- Antivirus alert: file .signature infected by signature virus. This is a summary, and merged bugs are not that relevant, they just clutter the view, in my opinion. Thijs pgpLuR5ezrypH.pgp Description: PGP signature

Bug#455214: qa.debian.org: add a usercategory for svnbuildstat on the qa.debian.org BTS pseudo package

Re: Remove groovy
Hi, I kindly object to having groovy removed! I absolutely need it for the next FreeMind release, that I expect to get in Debian at last! In response to Marcus (Better), I looked a while ago in groovy and there were still some packages missing, but, in deed, doing a better job than currently shouldn't be too hard. OK, I can have a look if nobody else wants it. Is the maintainer Markus Crafter somewhat MIA? I kind of see it the other way around: integrating external services in the BTS allows to improve them, making them better candidates for hosting on d.o machines. Also, I'm not sure that we should try too hard to get those services on d.o machines: DSA is usually a bottleneck, and if services run very well elsewhere, there's not much point in moving them to d.o. > If not, it would be possible in theory to have bugs reported against > qa.debian.org which are not fixable by anyone in Debian. That's a problem. But isn't it already the case? Also, if svnbuildstat moves to a restricted d.o machine, it won't change anything. > > So, could someone add a usercategory for svnbuildstat, and also document > > how to do that in the future in this bug report? > > So, are we in the position to move svnbuildstat on *.debian.org > machines? Would it be possible given that Goneri is not a DD? I don't think so: AFAIK svnbuildstat runs on a dedicated server currently, and has a quite complex setup. There was some talks about moving it to piatti.d.o though, but I'm not sure of the status of this. Ccing Holger and Goneri since they might be able to answer that. -- | Lucas Nussbaum | [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.lucas-nussbaum.net/ | | jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG: 1024D/023B3F4F |

Debian's groovy 0.1 currently FTBFS because libmockobject-java has been removed from sid, which it is broken by itself. Groovy 1.0 needs radeox which is not packaged (yet) but I had some discussions with upstream. I'll check the brand new version 1.5 ASAP.
