Hmm, I'm getting my mail Kam Tik queuing on my mail server...

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ host -t mx kamtik.net
kamtik.net MX record currently not present
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ host -t ns kamtik.net
kamtik.net NS dns1.name-services.com
kamtik.net NS dns2.name-services.com

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ host kamtik.net
kamtik.net A 218.188.184.93
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ telnet kamtik.net 25
Trying 218.188.184.93...

Might be worth asking Anthony Fok how he gets in contact with him,
although if you believe the changelog, Anthony sat on Kam's last package
revision for a while before uploading it (and Kam sat on it for a while
before sending it to Anthony)...

Moving a package from non-US to main

2003-11-19 Thread Andrew Pollock
Hi,

I'm looking at doing QA uploads of gutenbook and gutenbrowser, which are
currently in non-US. Martin's commented on both WNPP bugs that they should
be uploaded to main, so I'd like to do so for my upload.

I'd just like to know if there's anything further I need to do other than
change the section from non-US to main?

thanks

Andrew

Upload to the right machine (ftp-master vs non-us).

I have his phone number, and I see him regularly at HKLUG meetings.

Hmm... if [EMAIL PROTECTED] is still not working, let me make a phone call
to him. Mail bouncing is a problem.

As for me sitting on his last package revision... that is me
procrastinating, as I often does with my own packages. ...

Cheers,

Anthony

Hmm, I'll put in a link.

Yes, by email, as outlined above. Although I wonder whether it should
be sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED]

In any case, I think Gopal is active; he made several uploads in the
last few months, the last one about 2 weeks ago. Did you try to
contact him?

Repackaged xbubble to split out the data

2003-11-19 Thread Martin Quinson
Hello, it's the upstream author again.

Last time we spoke about xbubble, you said that you were woried about the
size of the package, which where due to the amount of graphics added since
version 0.2.x. You also said that you wanted to split the data in another
package, but were lacking the time to do this.

So, I did it.

In the meanwhile, I completely changed the packaging to use the wonderful
cdbs system. You can find the deb package on my homepage on
graal.ens-lyon.fr/~mquinson/deb.html

Only the debian/changelog is a bit of cruft since I dunno what you want to
write in it. I guess you'll have to rewrite it while reviewing the package.

I would very pleased if you could upload this package soon, in order to get
the package into testing before the freeze.

If you don't want to do so, or have no time for xbubble anymore, please
consider orphaning it so that someone else can do the work.

Thanks for your time, Mt.

Let's remove multi-gnome-terminal

2003-11-19 Thread Peter Palfrader
multi-gnome-terminal has several important bugs and no
reverse depends.

Only issue is that we released it with woody.

Are there any objections to removing it from sid/testing?
