thanks

This software is more or less obsolete. If anyone wants to do a
package and/or co-maintain it, please get it touch with me. Anyhow,
you can also get it at http://gopher.onshored.com/debian/local/ -- we
still use it internally at my company.

Bug#183673: qa.debian.org: PTS could display the architecture(s) of each binary package

2003-03-06 Thread Yann Dirson
Package: qa.debian.org
Version: N/A; reported 2003-03-06
Severity: wishlist

That is, for each binary package, the Architecture: field from
debian/control in the source package. This would make it far easier
to know if a given package is built for a given architecture, thus
making easier to maintainers to support archs they don't have access
to.

removal of certain gnome packages

2003-03-06 Thread Graham Wilson
i think the following packages should be removed from the archive:

filemenu-applet
power-applet
quickres-applet
wavelan-applet

all of the packages depend on libpanel-applet0, which needs gnome-panel
1.4. this package, however, does not exist in debian anymore, as we have
moved to gnome 2 in unstable.

also, all of the packages do not have new upstream versions, making it
unlikely that gnome 2 support will be added soon.

in addition, both the power-applet and the wavelan-applet seem to have
replacements in the gnome-applets package.

if no one objects, i will file bugs against ftp.debian.org requesting
that these packages be removed.
