Do you have the richt permissions? BTW: please so not ask this kind of questions on the debian-qa list, which is meant for quality assurance issues. debian-user@lists.debian.org is a better place to ask questions about the use of Debian. -- Kind regards, +---+ | Bas Zoetekouw | Si l'on sait exactement ce | || que l'on va faire, a quoi| | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | bon le faire?| |[EMAIL PROTECTED] | Pablo Picasso | +---+

You haven't given any useful information, such as what error message you are getting and what command you are using. The correct syntax is: cp /path/to/file /path/to/new/directory This can fail for a number of possible reasons. Patched bugs to be fixed...
Hi Yann, I notice a couple of simple patches in the BTS against console-tools. They seem sensible to me (110696 and 110130). Are you going to upload these, or can I do an NMU? I think these are fixes that should go into the next release... Thanks, Matthew -- "At least you know where you are with Microsoft." "True. I just wish I'd brought a paddle." http://www.debian.org
