Package: apsfilter
Version: 6.0.0-1
Severity: grave

The .upp files in the uniprint folder of apsfilter are not included in the
package. They ought to be, since they support printers such as Epson Stylus
Color 740 which are otherwise not fully supported. Proposed fix is to include
the apsfilter/uniprint folder into the apsfilter deb package.

Bug#96309: lm-sensors: should not depend on makedev

2001-05-04 Thread russell
Package: lm-sensors
Version: 2.5.4-12
Severity: normal

As I use devfs I have no need of makedev. I believe that this package should
depend on makedev|devfsd so that devfs users don't need makedev.

These are fonts. Why should they be 'out of date'?!

Reason why these haven't made it into testing is the same as for:

There are NO problems with ANY of these packages... The problem is that
they depend on 'roxen|roxen2' and roxen2 can't be built on SPARC/PPC.
Also there is some problems with the administration interface (bugs
#71682, #71689 and #93170). I just can't figure it out...

Because they're not installable.

Indeed.

The problem is that roxen doesn't build on powerpc, and that all the
other packages are arch:all and depend on roxen (or roxen2, which also
doesn't build on powerpc). Accepting any of them means adding packages
that are uninstallable on powerpc.

The fix to get roxen to build on powerpc is (or at least was when I
looked at it) quite trivial. It's just a matter of using varargs as ANSI
specifies rather than as i386 and a lot of other architectures allow. It's
described in bug 81648 which has been open for over 100 days...

Cheers,
aj

Linux GUI Automation testing tool

2001-05-04 Thread Garry Pitman

I work for a company that is using linux in a client/server environment.
We have been searching for a testing tool that we can setup gui
automation to handle regression testing. We have been unsuccessful in
finding any tools that run on linux. This tool should also be able to
regression test through either Netscape or Mozilla, since this is what
we are using as a interface.

Please include my address when replying since I am not on the list.

Thank you in advance,
Garry Pitman
