DPMT membership request for randall-guest
Hi everyone, I would like to join the DPMT. I plan on working on modules mainly used for Ansible (I'm currently updating pywinrm). I have read and accept the DPMT policy found at [1]. My Alioth account is 'randall-guest'. Thanks in advance! Regards, Lee [1] https://python-modules.alioth.debian.org/policy.html
salsa join request
Hi, I've been part of the DPMT team in the past [0]. I'd like to put ansible and ansible-core under the Debian Python Team umbrella. My salsa login is "lgarrett". I have read https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/tools/python-modules/blob/master/policy.rst and I accept it. Greets, Lee OpenPGP_signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

quick update on the ansible ecosystem
Hi everyone, thought I'd just give a quick update about ansible and the packages around it in regard to the trixie release. ansible ("ansible-core") 2.19 will come with a nice data tagging feature [0] that will prevent a class of security vulnerabilities going forward. It's included in 2.19.0~beta1-2 which is currently in sid. I intend to track the 2.19 release during the trixie point releases. This currently breaks a few things, notably autopkgtests of the packages ansible, ansible-lint and python-mitogen. For ansible I have already uploaded 12.0.0~a1+dfsg-1 which addresses these issues. ansible-lint will be fixed in the upcoming ansible beta2. [1] I have reported the issue in ansible-mitogen to upstream, and will quilt patch the missing function back in if it's not been addressed by upstream. [2] Happy hacking! jinja2 moved to DEP-14 layout
Hi, as part of preparing a security update for jinja2/bookworm, I decided to move the packaging layout to DEP-14 [0] (as this makes my life easier). This means a few branches have been renamed: master-> debian/latest upstream -> upstream/latest {stretch,buster-backports, bullseye-backports} -> debian/\1 Please update your local git repo and the tracking branches. Greetings, Lee [0] https://dep-team.pages.debian.net/deps/dep14/
