Err, calm down.  There's a 21 old day bug in the BTS against your
package which has been severity grave for over 2 weeks.  There's zero
response from you in the BTS.  A NMU to DELAYED is anything but out of
order.  Take your frustration out on someone or something else...

Well that's a dependency perl already has so it's not necessarily a
problem (at least from a 'priority' point of view - I'm not sure if
that's what you meant by optional).
