Changes are committed to svn and uploaded to mentors repository.

- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget

Thanks.

Piotr, I think you mixed up feedvalidator and feedparser here. They
are two different packages.
Unfortunately feedvalidator download list[1] is empty, so the watch
file would be useless anyway.

 Please, keep in mind that translation of devel related docs are

 I'd suggest you to invest your time in a higher priority doc (ask

 Of course it doesn't means you can't translate it, I'm just saying

 Well, maybe we should distinguish between newcomers to the team and
newcomers to VCS. A newcomer to the team could master one VCS, two or
none of them, so it's impossible to know his (or her) preferences in
advance. For a newcomer to VCS I really think that svn is easier to
learn than git/hg/bzr but that's just my opinion.

  I think the priorities should be, first of all the personal
preferences of top commiters, and secondly what we think could be
helpful for newcomers.

CNRI Python License question

2007-06-25 Thread Carlos Galisteo

 Hello.

 My tftpy package [1] is almost ready, but I'm in doubt with the license.

 Upstream source is released under the CNRI Python License [2] but AFAIK,
the DFSG compliant 'Python License' is the PSF [3] one.

 As you can read in the PSF license full text, there's a controversy about
the CNRI (1.6.1) compatibility with GPL, and my [EMAIL PROTECTED] archive
research gives no conclusive data (all threads seems to refer to CNRI 1.6,
not 1.6.1), for which I'm uncertain about the CNRI DFSG accordance.

 I'm asking here because I guess I'm not the first person with this doubt,
and it's even possible there are packages already uploaded (or rejected)
under the same license.

 If you consider this question more appropriate for debian-legal, please
let me know.

 Thanks.

Hi,

I updated package,, but before upload it , I would like to solve this

Well, DSFG says that we cannot put a chmod 77 in a /var/games/* file then
to solve I setted suid to group games and put /var/games/..file.conf
in games group.

With binary packages I havent problems,, but as pyRacerz is
interpreted using python, set suid to pyracerz script do not work :(

I couldnt this in just 2 solutions.
1 - chmod 777 /var/games/pyracerz/pyracerz.conf
or
2 - set suid to python executable.

I dont need to say that second option is out of question :)

This file must be in /var/games, because all users in same pc can see

new policy with only-one-python-script package

Hello,

My gnochm package contain only one python script under /usr/bin, no
modules, no extensions. So I don't need python-support and
python-central. If pycompat=1, dh_python will replace ${python:Depends}
with "python (>= 2.3), python (<< 3)"; If pycompat=2 without pyversions
setting, it will be "python" only. Shoud I use this result in my next
upload? Do I need to set pyversions manually?

Thanks.

RFS: Non-maintainer upload for rdiff-backup

2012-01-03 Thread Carlos Alberto Lopez Perez
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for the version 1.2.8-7 of my package "rdiff-backup".

The upload would fix these bugs: 585508, 587370

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:

* http://mentors.debian.net/package/rdiff-backup

$ dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/r/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup_1.2.8-7.dsc

This is a Non-maintainer upload, before change it myself, I've waited for an
answer long enough on both bugs (585508 615729) without a reply.

So I just made the changes needed to fix both bugs and ask someone to sponsor
it.

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

I am attaching also the debdiff.

This new version should be pushed to stable, testing and sid (the package
version is the same on all cases).

Thanks!

Ups, sorry fixed it to be 1.2.8-6.1

The default version of python is 2.6 on stable (squeeze)

Changed version number.

Ok, I will ping here in a few days if the current maintainer don't replies.
