Re: [Python-apps-team] may be a logo?

2011-09-16 Thread Yaroslav Halchenko
Somehow I have missed this one (probably it never reached the list due
to attachment size?) so I went ahead and cooked that one up -- it is the
last in the chain now (I kinda like it too; not sure if tongue is
necessary and what color to make it then):

Fw: [psf-trademarks] [PSF-Board] may be a logo?

2011-09-16 Thread Adam
Just noticed that this didn't get sent to the lists. Guess this leaves
one design in two different colors (#6 and #7). I don't have a strong
preference between the two.

2011-09-16 Thread Yaroslav Halchenko
ah evil you Adam -- quoted public the honorable PSF committee
email without their explicit consent! ;-)

Long story short -- we can't use any of the 1-5 logos. Indeed leaving us
with #6 and #7 -- please vote!

I will drop a question to debian-legal (and Zack CCed) about use
of openlogo -- just to make sure that at least on our side we are safe
;)

NB a friend of mine stated that this Python head (taken from
openclipart[1]) is more of a Viper head... but oh well ;-) should be
   fine for our purpose.

2011-09-16 Thread Martin Hoefling

Hey Folks,

I might just add a packaged "titlecase" module for New York Manual of
Style alike titlecasing. Moreover, I could also contribute to existing
packages.

my user is: martoss-guest

Best wishes

Martin
