I think you should update this: "Important: this page is obsolete,
polib has moved to Bitbucket."

Otherwise it looks good.

I fix the homepage and update watch file, the new package is in mentors.

Thanks!

RFS: bluewho

2010-01-03 Thread Muflone

Dear Python mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "bluewho".

* Package name: bluewho
  Version : 0.1-1
  Upstream Author : Fabio Castelli
* URL : http://code.google.com/p/bluewho/

* License : GPL-2
 Section : admin

It builds this binary package:
bluewho - Information and notification of new discovered bluetooth devices

Description:
BlueWho will inform and notify you when a new bluetooth device is
discovered.
Detection can be requested by the user or automatically continuous until
it's stopped. A visible and audible notification can be fired whenever a
new device is detected.
Each device found will be saved on the list as well its name, MAC
address, last seen date and time.

For each device a list of available Bluetooth services can be requested.

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 563409

My motivation for maintaining this package is: I'm the upstream author
and I use this application to record all bluetooth devices which
approaches to my computer. Everytime a device becomes discoverable a
scan for available services can be done.

The source package can be found on the PAPT svn:
- URL: http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/python-apps/packages/bluewho/trunk/

- svn: svn://svn.debian.org/svn/python-apps/packages/bluewho/trunk/

I would be glad if someone reviewed/uploaded this package for me.

Thank you and kind regards
Fabio Castelli

RFS: gextractwinicons

2010-01-03 Thread Muflone

Dear Python mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "gextractwinicons".

* Package name: gextractwinicons
  Version : 0.3-1
  Upstream Author : Fabio Castelli
* URL : http://code.google.com/p/gextractwinicons/

* License : GPL-2
  Section : admin

It builds this binary package:
gextractwinicons - Extract cursors and icons from MS Windows compatible
resource files

Description:
gExtractWinIcons can extract cursors, icons and png images previews from
MS Windows compatible resource files (like .exe, .dll, .ocx, .cpl).

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 563456

My motivation for maintaining this package is: I'm the upstream author
and I use this application to extract nice icons from various
applications for MS Windows to create custom themes or to give to wine
launchers their proper icon.

The source package can be found on the PAPT svn:
- URL:
http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/python-apps/packages/gextractwinicons/trunk/

- svn: svn://svn.debian.org/svn/python-apps/packages/gextractwinicons/trunk/

I would be glad if someone reviewed/uploaded this package for me.

Thank you and kind regards
Fabio Castelli

pypi-install (python-stdeb package)

2010-01-03 Thread Piotr Ożarowski
FYI:

Thanks to Andrew Straw and his stdeb (since 0.5) we now have a simple
and fast way to test Python modules (that are not packaged for Debian
yet) with other packages on the system (to f.e. check if module is worth
packaging or to have something less broken to recommend to all these
users who tend to destroy their systems using `sudo easy_install ...`):

 $ pypi-install Foo

will download Foo package from pypi.python.org, create Debian package
and install it (i.e. dpkg will know about these files).

PS If you didn't know it: stdeb (/usr/bin/py2dsc to be exact) produces a
really nice templates for Debian source packages with Python modules.
