New cython version
Hi, I am interested in a more recent version of cython. In the debian svn repository for cython packaging[1], there is a note that upgrading the debian package to the new version (cython 0.11.2) fails due to the fact that a binary file (Lexicon.pickle) has changed. I have tried generating an upgraded debian package from the new upstream sources, and see the same error from dpkg-source. Is there a solution to the problem? Is there anything I can do to help speeding the process up? (I am a normal debian user and complete beginner at packaging.) Thanks / johan [1]: http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/python-apps/packages/cython/trunk/debian/changelog?revision=3194&view=markup -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-python-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Yes, you can bug upstream not to include generated files in their tarballs. -- Jakub Wilk -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-python-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? BTW, since all (Python) Qt packages will have to be changed anyway, how about doing some name changes as well (to conform to the Debian Python policy)? python-sip4 -> python-sip python-qt3 -> python-qt python-qt3-gl -> python-qtgl python-qwt5-qt3 -> python-qwt5 python-qwt3d-qt3 -> python-qwt3d python-qt4-dbus -> python-dbus.mainloop.qt python-qt4 -> python-pyqt4 python-qt4-gl -> python-pyqt4.qtopengl python-qt4-sql -> python-pyqt4.qtsql python-qwt3d-qt4 -> python-pyqt4.qwt3d python-qwt5-qt4 -> python-pyqt4.qwt5 -- -=[ Piotr Ożarowski ]=- -=[ http://www.ozarowski.pl ]=- signature.asc Description: Digital signature
