"correct" way to set python2.4 to be default?

2005-09-07 Thread Tim Olsen
Hi,

I noticed python does not use update-alternatives. Is this done on
purpose or a future TODO?

If I'd like to set my default python to be python2.4, what should I do?

thanks,
Tim

It would be a very bad idea to use update-alternatives for the default
python version, as it would require building all modules for all
available python versions.

Currently, you'll have to wait for the default python version in Debian
to move.
