Hi all! I plan to buy soon a laptop and , as i am fan of the mac, i will choose certainly a mac. What is the best for running debian on it: a powerbook or a ibook? what sort of problems could i meet? Can i do "easy" a dual boot with mac os x? cheers Sam -- Samuel Desseaux 01j, square des ormes 59510 Hem tél:03.20.80.12.62 mobile:06.80.96.67.27
linuxworld expo 2003
Hi! excuse me, before all, if i am a bit out of the subject of the list. Who plan to take part at the next linuxworld expo in 2003 (in New-york or San francisco)? I've never take part in it but next year, i'd like it very much (like the free software meeting in france, it seems to be a good opportunitie to learn and meet some developers). So, if someone has the experience of this event, write me!! thanks sam

Hi! Last week, i came back from Netherlands with 2 goods powermac: 1 8600/200 and 19600/250 and i'd like to install both debian (one of them will be act as server). problem with powermac 8600
Hi! I've just installed Debian on my powermac 8600. No problems during the installation but, when i reboot and want to execute a command, i have the following message "Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address C8800 (error 4200)" and i can't work any more ( i must reboot) What does that mean? I wonder if it could come from the installation ( i use cd-rom (i've not others choices): it's a bad method because there's often bugs) so, tell me what you think and what i have to do regards sam
