RFS: galculator

2009-02-08 Thread Marco Rodrigues
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "galculator".

* Package name: galculator
  Version : 1.3.4-1
  Upstream Author : Simon Floery
* URL : http://galculator.sourceforge.net/
* License : GPL-2
  Section : math

It builds these binary packages:
galculator - A GTK+ 2.0 based calculator

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 513232

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/galculator
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
contrib non-free
- dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/galculator/galculator_1.3.4-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards

Well, my first sponsor for ClamFS was Daniel Baumann, but he resign.
Vincent Bernat sponsor one upload, but did not express any interest in
future uploads, so I assume it was on-time sponsoring. Nobody, I know
about, is looking into this.

Just to make sure that work is not duplicated: Do you have a primary sponsor of
your previous uploads and is that sponsor already looking into this, or what is
that reason that your prior sponsor is not going to take care of this one? I'd
offer to look at your package, if nobody else is doing so already.

Best,
Michael

 I would sponsor it, but it is not Lintian clean in the first place:
E: galculator: menu-icon-too-big /usr/share/pixmaps/galculator.xpm: 48x48 >
32x32
But well, that's how upstream ship it. I don't know if it worth to
ignore it or fix via an own downscaled one.

Only a minor nitpick that copyright contains "Copyright:
Copyright (C) 2002-2009 by Simon Floery " which
is a small duplication IMHO. Also I doubt that users are interested
about TODO installed via debian/docs .

Sorry for the late reply, but you misstyped my e-mail (puparazzo instead
of pupazzoo)
so I managed to see your mail just now.

Ops, just a leftover of a patch that was needed in versions < 1.0.8.
Removed
in svn trunk.

I reread the old threads on debian-mentors, and given that there is no
prior package and
www-data is in base-passwd, dpkg-statoverride is not needed (although
[1] seems to
imply that dpkg-statoverride should be used everytime a permission is
changed in postinst)

So I removed the postinst change and changed dh_fixperms appropriately
in trunk. Thanks for noticing and let me know if you'd like me to upload
a 1.0.8-2 to mentors.

regards,
Michele
