I stuck trying to find a contact of locfit's author , (locfit is the
part of cufflinks).
The license of locfit forbids benchmarking so it is not free .
Should we go for non-free section in such case ?

Best regards ,
Alex

Does this have anything to do with cufflinks? Perhaps
you meant to start a new thread?

Peter

Hi ,
locfit is a part of cufflinks since version 1.0 and unfortunately it
seems to be non-free .
But I agree I should better start a new thread about locfit's license
and cufflinks.

Best regards ,
Alex

Hi, imagetooth has been accepted and upload to debian sid [1],
should I do all the process again for debian-med or you can
"get" the package from debian sid?

[1] http://packages.debian.org/sid/ruby/imagetooth

No need to "get" anything.

Debian Med IS sid.

(because Debian Med IS Debian)

Hi all,

I found a paper from 2009 that indicates that the author was working in New
Zealand at that time. Have you tried that address ?

  http://www.biomedcentral.com/1471-2202/10/S1/S3
  http://www.stat.auckland.ac.nz/showperson?firstname=Catherine&surname=Loader

Another solution is to contact the cufflinks authors and as them if they can
help or replace locfit.

We can definitely upload to non-free in the meantime.

Have a nice day,
