I not sure what the problem is but when I needed to install on my T
2130cs, I copied the base install files to a DOS partition . The
rescue/install disk will mount the DOS partition. Once that is done you
can install the base system and load the the driver modules for your
cdrom.

I have been thru this.
You will need paride, plus two other drivers depending on the device your
are trying to connect. Then you must run a shell script to write the
special device files on your system. I will go find the FAQ I used. For
you. Actually I think I posted it on this list earlier this year. I
remember I got an e-mail in german as a reply. Still don't know what that
one was about.

Re: laptop boot image?

2001-03-06 Thread Rod Young

I not sure what the problem is but when I needed to install on my T
2130cs, I copied the base install files to a DOS partition . The
rescue/install disk will mount the DOS partition. Once that is done you
can install the base system and load the the driver modules for your
cdrom.

I am guilty of this too! But try to boot and write the error down. Then
post it. Someone is bound to know it.

Is there still one on the 2.2 cd? I thought I read somewhere that debian
no longer supported that.
I will check the disk when I go home.

Re: I am stucked: Parallel CD-Rom

I have been thru this.
You will need paride, plus two other drivers depending on the device your
are trying to connect. Then you must run a shell script to write the
special device files on your system. I will go find the FAQ I used. For
you. Actually I think I posted it on this list earlier this year. I
remember I got an e-mail in german as a reply. Still don't know what that
one was about.
