And I had no problems with it (except that the screen becomes garbled
when i close the screen while running X)

My Inspiron 4150 also monitors 85 degrees sometimes.
I read somewhere that pressing Fn + z should solve the problem, but I've
not had a chance to try it myself yet.
I believe it was the same place that wrote that the problem existed on
windoze too in earlier bios versions, but was fixed. I have not checked
this information myself either.

I just saw it on a couple of web-sites...

Apparently it resets the bios or something...

Disable mousepad on DELL inspiron 4150

While we are at the Dells, does anybody know how to disable the mousepad
on a Dell Inspiron 4150? 
I have been told that the Windoze driver supports this, but I have not
found anything about doing it under Linux.
