Keyboard not go with kernel 2.6.x

2004-05-12 Thread Biker De La Colina

Sorry for resend the email, it had not subjecy and it seems the reply to another
message :(

Hi all, I have a Packard Bell iGo 6206 and the problem is with the Kernel 2.6.x,
because I select all options about
the keyboard in "Input Devices" at make the kernel, but when I try use the new kernel
I can't write, I write for
example my login but in the screen doesn't
seem the login name, as the keyboard doesn't work. One time I could use it, but this
was making a kernel very big
and slow. I think that the problem is in another and not in "Input Devices"

Any idea?

Sorry for my English :(

Thanks for all

Block when insert PCMCIA card

2004-04-29 Thread Biker De La Colina
Hi all, I don't know what is the solution. I had installed Kernel 2.4.26 and 2.6.5, with the first the problem is that when I insert a PCMCIA wireless card, the PC doesn't respond, it is blocked and I have reboot. And with the second Kernel, always that I compiled her, when I reboot and use this Kernel I can't write, the keyboard doesn't respond, all this without the PCMCIA card insert.

Anyone knows the solutions? Thanks :D and sorry for my English

Keyboard not run in Kernel 2.4.x / 2.6.x

2004-05-21 Thread Biker de La Colina

Hi all, I don't know the solution for this problem. I install Debian 3.0 in a Packard
Bell iGo 6208, with the kernel
2.4.18-bf24, but when I compile a kernel as 2.4.x or 2.6.x I can't use because the
keyboard don't go :(

I extract de kernel sources and I write:

$ make menuconfig
(configuring the options)
$ make dep
$ make clean
$ make bzImage
$ make modules
$ make modules_install
$ cp .config /boot/config-2.x.x
$ cp arch/i386/boot/bzImage /boot/vmlinuz-2.x.x
& cp System.map /boot/System.map-2.x.x
$ mkinitrd -o /boot/initrd.img-2.x.x /lib/modules/2.x.x

I add at lilo.conf the file of image and "initrd=/boot/initrd.img-2.x.x"

And I reboot, I select the new image but... when all have been loaded, I try write my
login but this is as is the
keyboard isn't present because in the screen aren't changes :((

PD: sorry for my English :s
