Re: PGP Signatures

2003-03-13 Thread Victor Cain
I tried installing cryptplug and libgpgme6, but when I tried to tell Kmail
where to find the crypto plug-ins, I must have messed something up. The next
time Kmail started, it froze -- nothing worked. I tried re-installing Kmail,
removing, purging & reinstalling Kmail with no effect. I finally deleted
~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc and reinstalled and got it back working.

I no longer want the crypto plug-ins -- I'm quite happy living with the error
messages, but now after I start Kmail, I can access "Settings->Configure
Kmail" once -- the second time I try, the configure window just flashes and
disappears. I have to shut it down and restart to access the configure
window again.

I'm running Debian sarge with KDE 3.1 for woody from ktown.kde.org/~nolden.

Any help appreciated.

Must have done something wrong with the kde 3.1.1 packages. Now, I get these
error
messages with everything I try to do:

-- Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
kaddressbook: Depends: kdepim-libs (>= 4:3.1.1) but it is not going to be
installed
kalarm: Depends: kdepim-libs (>= 4:3.1.1) but it is not going to be installed
kandy: Depends: kdepim-libs (>= 4:3.1.1) but it is not going to be installed
kdepim: Depends: kdepim-libs (>= 4:3.1.1-0woody1) but it is not going to be
installed
korganizer: Depends: kdepim-libs (>= 4:3.1.1) but it is not going to be
installed
kpilot: Depends: kdepim-libs (>= 4:3.1.1) but it is not going to be installed
ksync: Depends: kdepim-libs (>= 4:3.1.1) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a
solution).

dpkg says that kdepim-libs is there but doesn't have any files.

If I try to reinstall kdepim-libs it says there is a conflict with package
libkgantt0.

If I try to remove libkgantt0, I'm back to the first error messages. Catch 22?

TIA,
