Once you > switch to XRender you need to logout/login to see the change. I am on Xrender. I do not enable compositor on startup as I had hangups when doing that. I still see no change.

Given what you said, does it mean that the KDE PIM suite will only receive security updates, if any, but not patches for non-critical bugs like the ones above if not properly ported to the 16.04 version? If so, could be there the possibility to have a newer version of the KDE PIM suite via backports at a later time? Thank you. Ciao Francesco
