I guess we (qt-kde team) could do it. and anybody interested in doing it too could join us (only having an alioth account is required) and maintain those inside our svn. -- ·O· Pierre Habouzit ··O[EMAIL PROTECTED] OOOhttp://www.madism.org pgphmBeVHHUDV.pgp Description: PGP signature

Please back up your .kde/ and .kderc, remove them and reboot. Maybe it is an upgrade problem with incompatible configurations. [kde 3.4.1] Konqueror crashes often in file-mode
Hello list, Yesterday I encountered the first annoyance with konqueror: it crashes _regularly_ if used a lot for the following: - Insert CD, KDE picks it up and puts the icon on the desktop. - Open it (gets mounted), doubleclick on a file, konqueror will in 1/10 times crash. I didn't get a backtrack yet (i'll do so the next time it crashes, by gdb was f*cked up. Re: [kde 3.4.1] Konqueror crashes often in file-mode
I've had similar trouble with 3.4.0, although it doesn't seem to be bound to mounting anything. It's quite random, but only in file mode. I posted a backtrace here a few days ago. No response yet. :-) On Wednesday 22 June 2005 04:35 am, Jan De Luyck wrote: > Hello list, > > Yesterday I encountered the first annoyance with konqueror: it crashes > _regularly_ if used a lot for the following: > > - Insert CD, KDE picks it up and puts the icon on the desktop. > - Open it (gets mounted), doubleclick on a file, konqueror will in 1/10 > times crash. > > I didn't get a backtrack yet (i'll do so the next time it crashes, by gdb > was f*cked up. > > Jan > -- > You are here: > *** > *** >* > *** > * > *** >* > >But you're not all there. -- Larry Garfield AIM: LOLG42 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ: 6817012 "If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others of exclusive property, it is the action of the thinking power called an idea, which an individual may exclusively possess as long as he keeps it to himself; but the moment it is divulged, it forces itself into the possession of every one, and the receiver cannot dispossess himself of it." -- Thomas Jefferson -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". audiocd:/ and secondary drives
Hi, list. When ripping CD audio, most of the time the media:/ protocol does just fine but in some cases it doesn't work. Eg: CDs with an audio session at the front and a data session at the back, media:/ always reads the data session. This is when I'd use audiocd:/ to force it to read the audio session. audiocd:/ always uses the first CD drive, but I'd like to be able to use the audiocd:/ protocol on my second CD drive aswell. Does anyone know a way to do that, or is it not possible? I can't find any doc that'll tell me. Peace, Brendon pgp2XYJ6G32aO.pgp Description: PGP signature

Thanks David, Couldn't have done it without yor help. The problem was solved by removing .kde/* and .kderc from my /home/user/ dir. It also made my numeric keypad start working again. And I presume that it's not necessary to copy the backup .kde/* and .kderc files back to /home/user/ or is it. Would appreciate one last comment on this,ie., am I losing any functionality or just configuration info by not copying them back. Keep the backups somewhere around, because there may be some things you really do not want to loose (content of kwallet comes to mind first), and of course if you have some more developed configuration (20+ filters in KMail -- that's my case). You can then always copy particular files into right place and refresh the functionality back.
