I already tried this solution but without any changes.
I tried also:

dpkg -i --force-confmiss kdelibs-data_{my-version}_all.deb

I tried to remove ~/.kde or configure a new user after reinstalling
kdelibs-data

Any attemt seems vain.

Can you say me why "dpkg -P --force-depends kdelibs-data" gives me an output
like:

/etc/kde3/ui not removed since it is ton empty ??
After purging /etc/kde3/ui *is* empty.

No problem here (Konq 3.2.2 using KDE 3.2.3). In my case, it picked up on my
login from when I had signed in to Yahoo mail and asked it to remember me.
There *are* sites that I can't use with Konqueror, but Yahoo isn't one I've
had any problems with.

Also the default Crystal icons. They're distinctive and easy on the
eyes. And the set's not missing any icons.

It recognize my CDwriter as reader. So cannot write cd's. In the past I could

2.6.8-1 is broken. Upgrade to -3, or -2 if you're using a laptop.

I went to 2.6.7-1 and that was OK

So I will upgrade to -3 if the nvidia driver is ok
