The release is still due this week, so posting it before doesn't make sense :-) besides, the URL doesn't change if you use latest in your apt-get line. The older packages also get removed anyway and the directory symlinked to the new one. However, I'm fine posting a link to the relase announcement on kde.org that has all the infos. koffice and kde 3.1.3?
The 3.1.3 kde packages have installed with no problem. I'd like to install koffice apps as well. Some notes on a failed kpresenter install follow. Re: kdelibs 3.1.4 debian woody packages problem fixed
We're never happy :) What about kdm? It seems to have a problem with a debconf dependency on a newer version than is present in woody. Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies: kdm: Depends: debconf (>= 1.2.9) but 1.0.32 is to be installed E: Sorry, broken packages Is there any chance you could downgrade the dependency or do a 1.2.9+ backport? For kdeprint use apt-get dist-upgrade. It requires efax or hylafax-client or mgetty-fax, you need to install one of those. The KDM issue is fixed, so you can go ahead and upgrade. Re: kdelibs4-dev and XFree86 4.3.0
I think if you have a need for bleeding edge, consider helping by moving to testing/sarge.. The more people we get onto testing the faster we can see these packages in 'stable' :) With X 4.3 and KDE 3.1.4 most of your system is beyond the purposes of woody already.. 3.1.4 for woody will probably always only have dependencies on products from woody. Otherwise you or the packager of the backport will have to provide any packages that have dependencies on them, including KDE 3.1.4 > i have installed the Daniel Stone Backport of XFree86 4.3.0 Packages from > http://people.debian.org/~mmagallo/packages/ on my Woody-System. > Yesterday i upgraded my System to the brand new KDE 3.1.4 Packages from > ftp.kde.org. KDE 3.1.4 und Audio
Hallo Liste!

As you see KDE3.1.4 backport for woody has to match the woody packages, so depends on Xfree86 4.1 and though on xlibs-pic. If you need kdelibs4-dev you'll have to get the source package and compile it with Xfree 86 4.3 Andreas -- A vivid and creative mind characterizes you.
