Request to be added to pkg-java

2011-12-08 Thread brian.thoma...@gmail.com
Hi,

I'm working with Steffen Moeller on getting some Java libs packaged/updated
for eventual inclusion of the yet to be released Eucalyptus 3.0, which I'd
like to also get into Debian. Please add me to the pkg-java group on
Alioth. My username there is:

iamfuzz-guest

Thanks!

10 packages/updates ready for pkg-java

2011-12-15 Thread brian.thoma...@gmail.com
Hello all,

First off, thanks for all the initial help and warm welcome. I've been
doing Debian packaging for nearly a decade now (Lindows/Linspire and
Canonical/Ubuntu) but am just now delving into pure Debian.

I joined Eucalyptus recently from Canonical, and we have a keen interest in
not only getting Eucalyptus into Debian, which is an obvious win for us,
but also becoming more involved with the Debian community as a whole, which
is why they brought me on. Thanks to the friendly outreach of Steffen
Moeller, I'll be attending DebianMED in January and FOSDEM in February and
hope to see many of you there!

Now that I have sufficiently bored you, the purpose of my email is to
announce 10 packages/updates (mostly updates, as pkg-java has impressively
covered most of the important libs) I have prepared for Debian that are
needed by our soon-to-be-released Eucalyptus 3.x:

 bouncycastle
 groovy1.7
 ha-jdbc
 jasperreports3.7
 libbtm-java
 libhamcrest-java
 libhibernate-jbosscache-java
 libjboss-cache3-java
 libjgroups-java
 velocity

Steffen has kindly volunteered to be the initial sponsor, so you should see
these trickling in during the coming weeks. If any of you are interested in
getting involved with Eucalyptus, or simply have questions regarding it,
don't hesitate to hit me up.

Best regards,

Brian

Re: Request for review: jetty8

2012-04-17 Thread brian.thoma...@gmail.com
Hi Jakub,

We're preparing a release of Eucalyptus for Debian which may or may
not make it into the next release, but we are heavily reliant upon
jetty6 and would appreciate it if it could stick around a while
longer.

Best regards,

Brian
