Ne ho parlato sulla lista di sviluppo del kernel, per farlo andare correttamente basta fare un piccola patch da 4 righe (sono due #ifdef...). Ho provato a compilare il 2.4.12 e mi sembra che quella modifica proposta sia stata accettata. Insomma, si riesce a compilare il modulo per la solo1 anche senza avere il supporto joystick. -- Non c'è più forza nella normalità, c'è solo monotonia.

iptraf
Lanciando iptraf ottengo la lamentela che ho l'IP masquerading attivo sulla mia macchina. Come disattivo il masquerading in modo che iptraf non si lamenti? Ho provato echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward ma senza successo...il messaggio rimane. Qualche aiuto? Considera che uso tutti i giorni unstable e problemi ne ho abbastanza saltuariamente, pur facendo upgrade ogni 1-2 giorni. Certo non mi sogno di mettere unstable su una macchina non di sviluppo. Per un server terrei su ancora potato, e se hai esigenze specifiche ricompili a mano i pacchetti ti servono aggiornati. Per una workstation dipende... Normalmente il primo dist-upgrade e' non molto traumatico se non hai la sfiga di beccare qualche bug temporaneo - es. l'ultimo problema con modutils e kernel<2.4.12. windows manager avvio
Ciao tutti. Oggi ho, mannaggia a me, aggiornato il mio portatile a woody. Di tutto e' successo. Ora apparentemente le cosa vanno mica male. Un problema e' che parte X (XFree 4.1), ma non un window manager (vorrei icewm). Come glielo dico? Io ho .Xsession con exec icewm-gnome (che e' installato) ma nulla, sfondo a retine e xterm. Suggerimenti? Stefano

Sempre dopo l'aggiornamento di cui al messaggio precedente (da potato a woody) mi si e' incasinata la keymap. Devo fare loadkeys it per avere quella italiana. Ma come faccio a settarla come default? Stefano

puoi usare linux come gateway (collegato ad internet tramite modem) e collegare window$ tramite seriale (lento). Su windows dei installare un driver null modem (lo trovi se lo cerchi su google) e creare una conessione remota verso linux in cui installi ppp (come server). Comunque trovi tutto su google (appartire da google) Per quanto riguarda l'ultima domanda, dovresti farla in qualche newsgroup di window$. Comunque se installi samba riesci ad usare stampante e dischi. Si, infatti, come per un floppy, per estrarre un file dal CDROM uso : tar xvf /dev/cdrom file_da_estrarre Esegue l'estrazione, pero' poi resta in sospeso, non mi rida' il prompt (forse aspetto poco? deve leggere tutto il cdrom prima?). Il perche' non uso iso9660 e' perche' non voglio farmi cambiare tutti i permessi e rendere tutto leggibile ed esegiubile. Poi, non voglio che mi segua i link simbolici, ma me li lasci stare cosi' come li ho messi. In effetti, dovendo poi migrare la tarball su un altro sistema, diverso da quello di origine, immagino che delle cose, come il proprietario e il gruppo, verranno cambiati. ciao a tutti. sto provando un altro client gnutella, NAPSHARE. e' carino, l'ho installato al posto di gtk-gnutella, e la prima volta si e' connesso, e devo dire e' anche leggermente migiore rispetto al suo "collega". visto che funzionava ho disinstallato gnutella, ma adesso napshare una volta partito non si cllega piu' a niente. ho cercato la documentaizone, ma non esiste. c'e' qualcuno che conosce questo client, e potebbe dirmi cosa si puo' fare per metterlo a posto? -- adri icq# 63011800
