Hi Alex, Thanks very much for your answer, it now works as expected. Regards, Fred. I have done this, protected by an if statement to check if the drives are busy syncing, it should work, but it is a bit clumsy. It would be neater to have something which waited until the syncing was finished and then mounted the swop partitions. If my swop partitions are not on raid devices, am I vulnerable to the above bug? 100% Debian based Cyber-Center in Strasbourg
Hello, Curently I am in creation of my Cyber-Center in Strasbourg, which is origialy only for Internet and Office... But now I am interested in Net-Games... Not only some Game-Servers. I like to use Linux-Game too. Are there some like 'Counterstrike'... I like to install my own Game-Server on a Athlon 1400 with 512 MByte which must server up to (very rar) 30 Clients in the local 100 MBit LAN. Oh yes, I have found only Action-Net-Games for WinSuck (Server maybe on Linux) but no Linux-Clients... Are the Games only in english or are ther some in german and french (very important for the French-users :-P ) ? Thanks for any informations... But the stensils cost money -- I've personally used it because of that. http://www.thekompany.com/projects/kivio/ As for network mapping tools, Scotty/tkined looks pretty cool, but I've yet to test it out. http://wwwhome.cs.utwente.nl/~schoenw/scotty/ If you work in a Micros~1 shot, I've heard that Visio 2000 will work with the crossover wine package. I've wished for years now that someone would pick up Dia and start working on fixing it up. :-( Let me know if you find anything else. I've been looking for a Visio replacement for years. -- Cameron Moore [ Why is the word dictionary in the dictionary? ] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Limit MySQL database sizes
Hi all, How can a "quota" be put on MySQL sizes? That is... in a similar fashion to the "commercial" control panels like Cpanel and such? Normal filesystem quotas don't work, since the database is owned by user "MySQL" and not the user him/herself. Right now we're using a custom script that just reports any values over a certain amount, and the possibility to "trim" very large ones, but it would be much better if something like a proper quota could be put on (eg. 30Mb). Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Jas. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Never seen one, so I'm not sure. I've been toying with the idea of writing a simple mysqlquotad that would monitor space and revoke users's INSERT privileges until they pruned their tables (after sufficient notificaiton, of course). Wouldn't be too hard to do, I just haven't found the time yet... Jeremy -- Jeremy D. We need to share diagrams with a lot of people on win32 (they all seem to use Visio) so we opted to go the CrossOver Office + Visio 2000 route. It really works well and is recommended if you don't mind paying the relevant license fees. See [http://www.codeweavers.com/products/office/].
