Ok. How much? Is 6 or 8 weeks better? I don't think, given how long this
is on the table already, it doesn't make much difference if its 2 or 8.
Just something thats clear defined and not some random, non-clear
"sometime in the future" point.

The hurd-i386 architecture has been moved to to debian-ports yesterday.
I hope it shows the willingness to do that. Please give us at least 4
more weeks to do the remaining kfreebsd-*. That will provide some margin
to account for the non-infinite free time to work on that (especially in
the freeze period) and possibly to get more disk space for the
debian-ports machine.

Thats ok, end of May is a nice point to take.

Thanks for the work and the timeframe for the rest!

Bug#927867: RM: elilo-installer -- ROM; elilo is no longer in the archive

2019-04-24 Thread John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: debian-ia64@lists.debian.org
Usertags: ia64

Hello!

elilo-installer can be removed from the archive as the bootloader it
installs, elilo, has been removed from the archive almost five
years ago [1].

There is no concern of breakage as all architectures which used elilo
in the past can now use GRUB without any problems, including ia64 which
we just switched over to use the grub-efi-ia64 package. elilo is also
dead upstream.

Please remove elilo-installer.

Thanks,
Adrian

RE: Bug#927562: Updating the elilo-installer Uploaders list

2019-04-24 Thread Pedro Miguel Justo

Thanks Adrian.

Setup went mostly as expected on my rx2660. I did have to use
“modprobe_blacklist=radeon nomodeset” to work around the Radeon GPU issue. GRUB
was installed by default. Boots the current system just fine but can’t boot
Wheezy (another partition) even though it is able to detect it. For Wheezy I
still have to use ELILO 3.14 which I kept on a backup directory in my EFI part.

Tomorrow I’ll try it on the zx6000.

Use:
