Translations for new boot floppies

1998-01-25 Thread fpolacco
Hello Guys!

our group is really impatient for the new boot floppies which, we've
heard, will use gettext to be internationalized.
I know you're hardly working on them, and we would like to know if there
are some .po files that we could start translating, even partial ones.

Please, tell us if we can help also in some other way.

Cheers,
Fabrizio

translations to be checked

1998-03-09 Thread fpolacco
Hi everybody,

I've just uploaded a new version of man-db (63 !), completely
gettext-ized (it was catget-tized before, but glibc had problems), with
messages in german (quite old), italian and spanish.

It is completely functioning now (feeww!), but I had to convert all
translations from .m to .po format. Some strings are also missing.

So I suggets people interested (I cc this to the few names I have in the
Thanks file) to give them a glance.

Other languages are welcome (french should be in progress, I hope :-).
In the tarball there is also the .pot original english ready for new
translations. No need to be FSF registered translators (I am anyway), or
to use _only_ the [EMAIL PROTECTED] lists, because man-db is not a GNU project,
mainly because GNU hates man pages :-(
