Bug#514158: ppl is broken on bigendian systems

2009-02-04 Thread Michael Tautschnig
Package: ppl
Version: 0.10-1
Severity: serious
Justification: Package is unusable on a number of architectures
Tags: upstream

It has been brought to our attention that ppl 0.10-1 is broken on all bigendian
systems. All floating point computations will (silently) use wrong results,
which makes the package barely useable in that case. Upstream already has a
patch in CVS that will be picked up for 0.10-2.

Best,
Michael

Bug#513961: (no subject)

2009-02-04 Thread schu mi
I am building it with scons.

Since I have upgraded gcc yesterday, it now does not stop and it gives not the
segmentation fault error.

But it hangs at the same file.

Then cc1plus uses between 65-75% of RAM and most time 5% CPU but sometimes
around 50%, additionally mmcqd is also quite active.
Compiler is running for ages and won't stop.

engine/swigwrappers/python/fife_wrap.cxx: In function 'void
handleDirectorException()':

//here is the end (like before), but without error message and the compiler
won't stop

I hope this may help.
