gcc-4.1 override disparity

2007-04-30 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

gcc-4.1-base_4.1.2-5_hppa.deb: package says section is libs, override says
devel.
gcc-4.1-base_4.1.2-5_i386.deb: package says section is libs, override says
devel.
gcc-4.1-base_4.1.2-5_powerpc.deb: package says section is libs, override says
devel.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you replied to one
like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore
this mail. Your reply needs to be processed by a human and will be in
due course, but until then the installer will send these automated
mails; sorry.]

All the links in /usr/lib/gcc/i486-linux-gnu/4.1.2/include/ are dangling...a
"symlinks -rd /usr" show that...

Thx for your work

Package: gcc-4.1
Version: 4.1.2-4
Severity: important

Please find below an update of the patch for GNU/kFreeBSD, which fixes a
few things:
- fix the kbsd-gnu.dpatch wrt hash-style. Please DON'T APPLY this patch
if you reenable hash-style=both in the next upload
- fix a small typo in debian/multiarch.inc which make the build fails
  on kfreebsd-amd64
- fix the detection of stackguard detection in the GNU libc for non
Linux architectures. It should also work for Hurd if/when the GNU libc
support stackguard on this architecture (I haven't checked yet).

Package: gij-4.1
Version: 4.2.1-4
Severity: grave
Justification: Stops package from installing

I received the following output on upgrading to gij-4.1 (4.1.2-4):

# dpkg --configure -a
Setting up gij-4.1 (4.1.2-4) ...
error: could not create /var/lib/gcj-4.1/classmap.db:
java.io.IOException: No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing gij-4.1 (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2

Creating the directory, /var/lib/gcj-4.1, allowed the installation to
succeed.

Version: 4.1.2-4
Severity: serious

Hi,

It seems that the /usr/lib/libgfortran.so symlink to
/usr/lib/libgfortran.so.1 is missing. I assume it belongs in
gfortran-4.1 since it has the .a files an replaces libgfortran1-dev.

I think it's also missing a dependency on libgfortran1 which provides
the library itself.

2007-04-30 Thread steven at gcc dot gnu dot org

--- Comment #3 from steven at gcc dot gnu dot org 2007-04-30 12:01 ---
There are at least 2 issues here:

1) We just lose the locus of the goto statements when we lower GIMPLE and when
we jump across forwarded blocks.

2) When we don't lose the locus in GIMPLE, we lose it in cfgexpand.

I'm working on a fix for both issues.

It seems the symlink is in
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.1/libgfortran.so, which it doesn't seem
to be using. It's should be 4.1.3 instead of 4.1?

I still get a failed build log because it attempts to use the static
library. See:
http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?pkg=hmisc;ver=3.3-2-1;arch=amd64;stamp=1177947519

'reopen' may be inappropriate when a bug has been closed with a version;
you may need to use 'found' to remove fixed versions.

no, 4.1.3 is a symlink to 4.1. Doesn't the symlink exists on your
system? If not, please could you find out why?

So, it's:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 26 Apr 30 20:02
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.1.3/libgfortran.so -> ../../../lib/libgfortran.1

and "libgfortran.1" doesn't exist, it's missing an ".so".

Severity: normal

Hi,

I don't know exactly if it is a bug, but I noticed that :
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.4.2-gcj-4.1-1.4.2.0/jre/lib/i386/client/libjvm.so
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.4.2-gcj-4.1-1.4.2.0/jre/lib/i386/libjawt.so
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.4.2-gcj-4.1-1.4.2.0/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.4.2-gcj-4.1-1.4.2.0/man/man1/gcj-dbtool.1.gz
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.4.2-gcj-4.1-1.4.2.0/man/man1/java.1.gz
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.4.2-gcj-4.1-1.4.2.0/man/man1/rmiregistry.1.gz

are dangling links by me with 'symlinks -rd /usr/'

Thx for your work
Guillaume
