Possible kernel modules missmatch in netboot.tar.gz for debian testing

2014-06-01 Thread a a
Hello

For the last few days i have problem with installation of the debian
testing with netboot method.
When attempting to download Packages file the installator shows error
message that modules in the installer do not match with version in Packages
file. I already had submited bug report in the debian-installer packade.
Bug tracking number is 749991. Last available version of netboot.tar.gz is
the oldest available version. I suspect two possible causes of this bug.
First one is build enviroment version missmatch or some error in mirror of
debian testing.

Thank You

Have A Nice Day

RE: Possible kernel modules missmatch in netboot.tar.gz for debian testing

2014-06-04 Thread a a
Hello

I have done some testing. Results are no good. netboot.tar.gz available on
mirrors have incorrect version of kernel modules. This error causes
installation process to fail. This error has been filed as bug with number
749991. I have tried to build my own netboot.tar.gz. I ran to error when
booting from pxe. The error is failed to load ldlinux.c32.
When googling on internet i haved found info about problems in syslinux
package. Here is bug report 750244.

Probable fix of incorrect kernel modules is to build netboot.tar.gz in
enviroment of correct modules and fix of missing ldlinux.c32 when booting
custom netboot.tar.gz is to fix path to this file in syslinux package.

More info is available on bug numers 749991, 750244.

2022-03-01 Thread a a
Hi.

Today a tried to access contents of debian instaler git repository on
salsa.debian.org and the server responded with 403 error. Next i tried
other content located on said server with the same resposne. Was there a
change in access policy or something is wrong with the server itself.

Thank You
