Bug#1079947: ITP: senpai -- senpai is a terminal IRC client that works best with bouncers
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Mae Miller X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-devel@lists.debian.org * Package name: senpai Version : x.y.z Upstream Contact: ~delthas/senpai-...@lists.sr.ht * URL : https://sr.ht/~delthas/senpai/ * License : ISC Programming Lang: Go Description : senpai is a terminal IRC client that works best with bouncers senpai is an IRC client that works best with bouncers: no logs are kept, history is fetched from the server via CHATHISTORY, networks are fetched from the server via bouncer-networks, messages can be searched in logs via SEARCH, files can be uploaded via FILEHOST (with drag & drop!) - why is this package useful/relevant?: This software is far better than alternative console-based irc clients at connecting to IRC bouncers seamlessly, especially soju-based bonucers. The application is also very snappy and intuitive. Weechat is good but I think this makes onboarding new IRC users easier which is relevant for the debian project - I need a sponsor and guidance as my last packaging foray didn't pan out. publickey - mmiller@wanderingwires.net - 0xC21D2CFF.asc Description: application/pgp-keys signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature
Bug#1050348: ITP: melonds -- nintendo DS emulator
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Mae Miller X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-devel@lists.debian.org * Package name: melonds Version : 0.9.5 Upstream Contact: Name * URL : https://melonds.kuribo64.net/ * License : GPL Programming Lang: C/C++ Description : nintendo DS emulator This is a modern NintendoDS (not 3DS) emulator. I'm going to be packaging this as my first package partially because it's a program I use and care about and partially in order to learn how the system works and to make my first contribution to debian. As such I would need a sponsor. I'll be seeking help from the games team and likely with maintain it as a games team package (if that's how this works). -- Mae Miller (it/she) signature.asc Description: PGP signature
Bug#1094509: ITP: uxn -- a small stack-based virtual machine platform for creative programming
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Margaret Miller <0x4d6...@disroot.org> X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-devel@lists.debian.org * Package name: uxn Version : 1.0 Upstream Contact: rabbits * URL : https://100r.co/site/uxn.html * License : MIT Programming Lang: C Description : a small stack-based virtual machine platform for creative programming >From the website: "The Uxn/Varvara ecosystem is a personal computing stack based on a small virtual machine that lies at the heart of our software, and that allows us to run the same application on a variety of systems. It is designed with an implementation-first mindset and is tailored to our specific needs for hosting graphical applications, but is entirely open and welcomes anyone to adopt it as a release target. Uxn is programmable in its own unique language, and the distribution of Uxn programs is akin to sharing game roms for classic console emulators..." This would be my first package (I've tried to package before but got stuck) and I would be in need of a sponsor and would appreciate any additional help/advice. I think this project is exciting and would be a great educational and enriching addition to Debian. I've seen many very unique and fascinating programs written in this stack and I would love a native way of building and running these projects.
