The template has changed since then.
What I now have:

First DVD-ISO oversized

2004-09-05 Thread Andreas Neudecker
Hi.
The first DVD-ISO is oversized according to K3B and burning does not
work properly: Even though K3B claims the image has been written
successfully, the resulting DVD is shorter than the image and a md5sum
-c fails.

Since the 2nd image file is far shorter it should be easy to migrate a
few packages to the 2nd ISO to decrease the size of the first.

Kind regards

Andreas

JTE 1.12 released

2004-09-05 Thread Steve McIntyre
JTE 1.12 is out now in the usual place. It's tested and ready to go,
and I'm hoping that this will be the last release for quite a
while. Really! New features:

* Added rsync64 sums that Richard asked for
* Added jigit "friendly" wrapper script around mkimage
* mkimage will now do some of the work needed to rebuild images
  where we are missing parts
* Improved docs
* Updated and fixed the patches for both mkisofs and debian-cd

Usual place:

Re: Re: size of DVD-image sarge-i386-1.iso is too large?

2004-09-05 Thread Nelson Altimari
Hi, i've had the same problem. After spending 26 hours downloading stuff
(hey, it's A LOT of stuff...), I wasn't able to burn 'sarge-i386-1.iso'
on a DVD+RW... :,-(

My DVD+RW is a RiDATA, and Nero6 reports 4.483MB (roughly 4,700,766,208
bytes) under Win2K. So, I guess your assumption is correct, 4.7x109
seems to be safe enough for the 'next' iso image.

Any chance to have this fixed by the end of the week?
Thanks,
