First DVD-ISO oversized
Hi. The first DVD-ISO is oversized according to K3B and burning does not work properly: Even though K3B claims the image has been written successfully, the resulting DVD is shorter than the image and a md5sum -c fails. Since the 2nd image file is far shorter it should be easy to migrate a few packages to the 2nd ISO to decrease the size of the first. JTE 1.12 released
JTE 1.12 is out now in the usual place. It's tested and ready to go, and I'm hoping that this will be the last release for quite a while. Really! New features: * Added rsync64 sums that Richard asked for * Added jigit "friendly" wrapper script around mkimage * mkimage will now do some of the work needed to rebuild images where we are missing parts * Improved docs * Updated and fixed the patches for both mkisofs and debian-cd Usual place: http://www.einval.com/~steve/software/JTE/ -- Steve McIntyre, Cambridge, UK.[EMAIL PROTECTED] "I suspect most samba developers are already technically insane... Re: Re: size of DVD-image sarge-i386-1.iso is too large?
Hi, i've had the same problem. After spending 26 hours downloading stuff (hey, it's A LOT of stuff...), I wasn't able to burn 'sarge-i386-1.iso' on a DVD+RW... :,-( My DVD+RW is a RiDATA, and Nero6 reports 4.483MB (roughly 4,700,766,208 bytes) under Win2K. So, I guess your assumption is correct, 4.7x109 seems to be safe enough for the 'next' iso image. Any chance to have this fixed by the end of the week?
