Trouble downloading woody with jigdo-lite
Hi All, Thanks for all the work you guys do in maintaining Debian! I, and thousands like me, really appreciate it. Hopefully one of you can tell me what I'm doing wrong... I'm trying to use jigdo for my first time to download the woody CD images, and I keep running getting this error: --09:33:48-- ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/pool/main/c/cron/cron_3.0pl1-72_i386.deb => `debian-30r1-i386-binary-1_NONUS.iso.tmpdir/ftp.us.debian.org/pool/main/c/cron/cron_3.0pl1-72_i386.deb' Connecting to ftp.us.debian.org[128.101.80.131]:21... connected. When jigdo asks for the URL of the .jigdo file, I tell it: http://us.cdimage.debian.org/jigdo-area/3.0_r1/jigdo/i386/woody-i386-1_NONUS.jigdo and when it asks for mirros, I tell it: ftp://ftp.us.debian.org for the main mirror and ftp://ftp.uk.debian.org for the NONUS mirror. Re: Trouble downloading woody with jigdo-lite (Never Mind!)
Boy do I feel stupid! I just realized that I was typing in ftp://ftp.us.debian.org where I should have been typing ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian Sorry I bothered your maintainer list with such a silly post :-) Thanks again for all the hard work, though! I really do appreciate it. --jason > Hi All, > > Thanks for all the work you guys do in maintaining Debian! I, > and thousands like me, really appreciate it. System Question
Hello, I'm going to download de Debian CD Images for my computer. It's an AMD Athlon XP 1700+. Wich version I must download? the Intel-Compatible or other one? Other question I want to do: is there a new stable version near from now to be completed? because I don't have an ADSL/Cable-modem and I need to pay for the ISO-CD download. If a new version is going to be released, I want to wait this little time to download it. Sorry if my words/english are not very clearly. Thanks for your answer.
