Hi tried to download Sarge- DVD 1 and have over 500 files missing

Hi, 

the Sarge-DVD1 jigdo file has over 500 missing files. Could you tell me when
a new jigdo-file will be created ?

This week.
Until that you can download the ISO if you need that badly. You could 
also use rsync to repair the broken file if you already have one.

Not sure which sarge DVDs you're talking about... I also did my own a while
ago, see . I won't make this a 
weekly cron job unless there's demand for it. Also, as can be seen from the 
dir listing, creation didn't work properly for all arches and I haven't got 
the time/incentive to debug that.

You need the "i386" flavour for your Pentium PC.

Debian is a non-profit organization and cannot afford to send CDs directly
to users. You need to download an image following the steps at
http://www.debian.org/CD/. You can also order a Debian CD from
http://www.gtcdrom.com/Debian-GNULinux.html. (I am not affiliated with them
in any way). If you find Rs. 700/- (about $15) a bit expensive (I do :-),
you can contact a local Linux User Group and some one will be happy to burn
CDs for the cost of the media.

Timing is important. Dowload a jigdo file & template that is current as 
posible,created within 1 to 2 days of of the time you try the build. 
Any older and the mirrors start getting more and more new packages.
