Yes, with "jigdo-file list-template -t .template | grep image-info".
But that's not in the same format as output by md5sum, so it won't help
you.

However, you can use jigdo-file itself to verify the checksum:

  jigdo-file verify -t .template -i .iso

http://www.debian.org/CD/artwork/ update

2003-01-06 Thread Marco Parrone

Hi, I've updated the second cover linked at the page:
  http://www.debian.org/CD/artwork/

Its home page is:
  http://www.autistici.org/marc0/sdcdc.html

I suggest

to replace the old link
(http://www.autistici.org/marc0/sources.en.html)
with the new one (http://www.autistici.org/marc0/sdcdc.html),

to replace the link "(editable Gimp Scheme scripts)"
with "(editable Shell+Scheme (The GIMP's Script-Fu) scripts)",
but with no link, so you will not need to update the link
every time I do a change: the sources are avaiable from
home page (see up),

the mini example image can be replaced with the one at
http://www.autistici.org/marc0/src/sdcdc/sdcdc-mini-example.jpg

and finally it should point to
http://www.autistici.org/marc0/src/sdcdc/sdcdc-cds-pixmaps.tar.gz
because it contains no version or modification date information
and so I can update it without having to ask you to update the
debian page.

Thanks

Windows: problem using jigdo

2003-01-06 Thread Shi Sherebrin
Using Win2K, and the 0.6.8 Windows package, I have not had any
sucess so far, and hope the list can help. I've tried searching the archives
and have found little of help.

One thing I figured out, that wasn't in any FAQ I read, was that I needed to
set my Windows PATH to include the folder containing jigdo and its
various utility programs.

I tried downloading the .jigdo and .template files to the local computer,
which seemed to work better, since it had some parameter problems with
wget.

Here's a "transcript" of my session, I hope this will be sufficient...

I think one other person has reported the same problem as you to me
privately. It seems to be a problem on Windows, but I've been unable to
track it down.

Well, the way it's intended is that you start jigdo-lite by doubleclicking
on the .bat file, not from the command line. The .bat file also sets up
PATH.

Can you check whether starting it like that makes a difference for you?

Cheers,

  Richard

investigation still in progress, but thought I'd report back to the list a mod to
the batch file that helps:

path jigdo-bin;%PATH%

should become

path .;%PATH%

(since it's just running in the current dir. anyway)

In DOS and Windows (gee, I like to say that), the current dir. is always
part of the path, so your suggestion sounds like a no-op.

woody for alpha?

2003-01-06 Thread mcompengr

Hi,

On 30 Nov. 2002 I decided to go for Debian and I still am unable
to obtain it. Has it been "ported" to the Alpha architecture?
I paid the asking price offered by two of the listed "vendors"
and have yet to receive a response to my numerous emails and my
PayPal payment for the same. Bottom line: I care nothing about
anything other than somehow obtaining the Debian unix on CD's.

Thank you,
Martin

I think one other person has reported the same problem as you to me
privately. It seems to be a problem on Windows, but I've been unable to
track it down.

Well, the way it's intended is that you start jigdo-lite by doubleclicking
on the .bat file, not from the command line. The .bat file also sets up
PATH.

Can you check whether starting it like that makes a difference for you?

Cheers,

investigation still in progress, but thought I'd report back to the list a mod
to
the batch file that helps:

path jigdo-bin;%PATH%

should become

path .;%PATH%

(since it's just running in the current dir. anyway)

In DOS and Windows (gee, I like to say that), the current dir. is always
part of the path, so your suggestion sounds like a no-op.

perhaps that's no longer the case in Win2K's version of DOS, because it
definitely made a difference for me...
