How to generata the lists file?

2002-07-08 Thread Rahmat M. Samik-Ibrahim

Hello:

I notice that jigdo generates a list file, but deletes it later on.
Any clue how to generate the list file?

regards,

Yes. :-) jigdo-lite uses something like

  jigdo-file print-missing-all \
  --jigdo foo.jigdo --image foo.iso \
  --uri Debian=http://mymirror/debian/ \
  --uri Non-US=http://mymirror/debian-non-US/

"print-missing-all" outputs multiple URLs for each file that still
needs to be downloaded before the image can be completed. Just
"print-missing" only prints the first URL for each file. Have a look
at the jigdo-file manpage for more info.

Cheers,

  Richard

Sounds OK.

The DVDs contain the same packages as the CDs, so by your reasoning it
should be an option for existing items. Obviously it's possible that a
vendor stops selling CDs and only sells DVDs one day, but that's
probably not going to happen soon.

Bye,

Artwork for Debian

2002-07-08 Thread Robert Dodd

Hi:

I would like to contribute some artwork to Debian as I have
time. Do you need artwork for the new release or for CD covers? I am a
professional commercial artist and freelance web designer.

I have just started running Linux on a second PC of mine and
so I am just learning about it, but so far I like it a lot and I like the fact
that it isn't Windows XP! Right now I am running Lycoris because I am a rank
newbie and figured Lycoris would be easiest, but I want to move on to Debian
eventually because everything I have heard about it is good.

By the way, I have seen this great Debian desktop image with
the Debian logo and a rock-like or crumpled paper-like background, and I can't
find it anywhere. Do you know where I can get it?

Sincerely,

Robert Dodd
