Artwork link is dead

2002-01-15 Thread Fabrício

  Hi all,

Thanks for updating the link to my webpage with
Debian CD covers last week. Unfortunately, the cover
(image) link which is pointing directly to the
compressed file doesn't work. This is due to Geocities
policy to not allow downloads of files if you come
from pages which are not on their servers.
It seems that the best solution is to remove the
file name from the link URL and leave it the same way
the link on top of the cover image is, which is:

http://www.geocities.com/fabricio_dos_anjos_silva/debian_cd_covers/

Sorry for this inconvenience and thanks for the
support.

  Fabricio.

Do the same update images work ok with 2.2r1,2,3,4 ??

Yes, they should. There'll just be some overlap where some of the
updated packages are already on the initial CDs. Apt will cope.

Ok, and they're now in place ready for playing with. Nobody gave me
any feedback for the r0->r4 images, so I can only assume they were
perfect and these will be even better as they're newer... :-)

must be exactly three terminations: one on one end of the cable, one on the

Ah, I see!
(I already knew that they do some referer-based access control, but I
didn't think of it when I changed the links.)

At some point soon, yes. Unfortunately Phil's off on vacation so I'll
have to do them instead I guess. I'm going to have a look tonight and
see what I can do.

The revised Debian CD pages (http://www.debian.org/CD/) are very
frustrating. Click on "Download a minimal bootable CD image" and what do
you get? A page telling you about how much better it is to use a minimal
bootable image -- and no link to one! So -- where do I obtain a minimal
bootable image? (Just to be clear: not the full Debian CD images -- I know
how to get those.)
